RE4 Remake The Mercenaries Unlockables Guide
The Mercenaries was introduced shortly after Resident Evil 4 Remake was released and players got to witness the survival mode once again as they did in the original game.
This game mode sets you off to survive against enemies or clear them out until you have either been killed, the time runs out or you have killed 150 enemies.
If you are wondering what you can get out of this besides the fun, certain things may be unlocked once you play this game mode.
All The Mercenaries Unlockables
Playing this game mode will allow you to unlock more characters and stages that you can later play in, giving you a new experience every time.
Aside from that, you will also be able to unlock a bonus weapon if you can complete all of the stages with an S+ rank.
The following are the rewards you get for playing The Mercenaries game mode:
1) Unlock The Mercenaries Characters
You can unlock more characters in The Mercenaries by playing with a specific character and getting at least a rank of A at the end.
The following are the characters that can be unlocked in The Mercenaries:
- Leon – Starting character
- Luis – Get Rank A with Leon
- Krauser – Get Rank A with Luis
- HUNK – Get Rank A with Krauser
2) Unlock Stage
You can unlock stages in The Mercenaries and there are a total of 3 altogether but the 2 need to be played and completed before the next one can be unlocked.
The following are the stages in The Mercenaries:
- Village – Starting map
- Castle – Unlocked by finishing Village
- Island – Unlocked by finishing Castle
3) Unlock Handcannon
The Handcannon was initially unlocked by completing the main story on Professional Mode with a rank of S+ but now things are easier with The Mercenaries.
If you complete all stages in The Mercenaries with a rank of S+, the Handcannon will be unlocked and available for purchase in the Extra Content Store for 2,000 CP.
Are Wesker & Ada in The Mercenaries?
Some players were a bit disappointed that Albert Wesker was not in The Mercenaries but this may change in the future.
We may yet be able to see this villain in action again if Resident Evil 4 Remake adds him to the game mode but for now it’s best to enjoy what is already there.
Ada Wong is also missing from the roster in The Mercenaries but most likely she will be included some time later if they add Separate Ways to the game.
This spy could possibly be added to The Mercenaries in the future, but for now, the best thing to do is wait and see what comes first.
Verdict
The Mercenaries is not only a fun game mode to play, but you can also experience a lot of action and get more used to some of the weapons.
The bonus of being able to get the Handcannon easily makes it all the better and possibly, we may be seeing more goodies in the future.
As for the other characters that we were expecting to be in the game, Resident Evil 4 Remake may get them sometime in the future.
