There are several Grenade Launchers in Destiny 2 that you can utilize to blow up your enemies but one of these has been brought back with the Into The Light update.
The Mountaintop has made an appearance in Destiny 2 once again and you can even get the Mastercrafted version of it.
This however requires that you prove to Lord Shaxx that you are worthy of wielding this piece from his BRAVE Arsenal.
How To Get Climbing The Mountaintop Quest?
You can acquire Climbing The Mountaintop quest by heading to the Hall of Champions and speaking to ARCITE 99-40.
ARCITE 99-40 offers multiple quests that were released with the Into The Light update, one of them being Climbing The Mountaintop quest.
Climbing The Mountaintop Quest Steps
Step 1: Complete One of The Following Objectives
Climbing The Mountaintop mainly requires you to prove yourself when it comes to defeating enemies with Grenade Launchers and there are two options for step one of this quest.
The first option for completing this step is to rapidly defeat combatants using a Breech-Loaded Grenade Launcher anywhere in the system. (Bonus progress in Onslaught Activities)
An alternative for this quest step is to defeat Guardians using any type of Grenade Launcher, which is best done in Crucible but also doable in Gambit. (PVP Activities)
Note: Breech-Loaded Grenade Launchers are Grenade Launchers that are equipped in your first or second weapon slots instead of the Energy Weapon Slot.

Step 2: Return to the Hall of Champions and Unlock Access to The Mountaintop at the Appropriate Holo-Shaxx
Once you have completed the first step, you will now need to attune to The Mountaintop Holo-Shaxx, which can be found in the Hall of Champions.
Fast travel to the Hall of Champions and make your way down the stairs towards the second room on the left and you may interact with the Holo-Shaxx wielding The Mountaintop.

Step 3: Speak to Shaxx within the Hall of Champions and Claim Your Prize
After you have been attuned with the correct Holo-Shaxx, make your way to Lord Shaxx and speak to him to claim your reward and complete the quest.

Climbing The Mountaintop Quest Rewards
Completing, Climbing The Mountaintop quest will allow you to collect a Mastercrafted, The Mountaintop Legendary Grenade Launcher.
Additionally, you will receive 200 Hype (Lord Shaxx Reputation) once you have claimed The Mountaintop from Lord Shaxx.
Verdict
A Mastercrafted version of The Mountaintop will have an increase in its reload speed, which allows you to fire shots faster after the weapon’s reload animation.
The Mountaintop is one of the weapons that have the Indomitability Origin Trait, which provides you with Grenade or Melee Energy Regeneration depending on your class.
Being that The Mountaintop is not an Exotic Weapon, it can easily be a good choice for one of the weapons in your loadout to deal with excessive damage or to clear multiple enemies.
