Midnight Ride Quest Steps
Step 1: Complete One of The Following Objectives
Completing this quest begins with showing your skill with any Hand Cannon as you will need to defeat certain targets by doing one of two objectives.
The first and possibly the easiest way to complete this step is to rapidly defeat combatants with a Hand Cannon anywhere in the system. (bonus progress in Onslaught)
Another way to complete this quest step is to defeat Guardians using Hand Cannons, which you can do in Crucible or Gambit matches.

Step 2: Return to the Hall of Champions and Unlock Access to Midnight Coup at the Appropriate Holo-Shaxx
After you have completed the first quest step, you will need to head back to the Hall of Champions to look for the Midnight Coup Holo-Shaxx.
You can find the Midnight Coup Holo-Shaxx in the second room on the right in the Hall of Champions and will need to interact with it.

Step 3: Speak to Shaxx within the Hall of Champions and Claim Your Prize
Once you have attuned with the Midnight Coup Holo-Shaxx, you may now speak with Lord Shaxx to complete the quest.

Midnight Ride Quest Rewards
Speaking to Lord Shaxx will allow you to obtain the Mastercrafted Midnight Coup from him, which will give it increased Stability.
Aside from obtaining the Midnight Coup, you will also gain 200 Hype (Lord Shaxx Reputation) by completing this quest.

The Midnight Coup can be considered one of the best Legendary Hand Cannons you can get due to its high damage, fast rate of fire as well as its quick reload speed.
To top things off, obtaining this weapon as a Mastercrafted weapon will make it easier to aim while firing since its recoil will be reduced.
