Shredding enemies with a Machine Gun can be the perfect way to clear out a whole group as these weapons not only deal a decent amount of damage, but their rate of fire is exceptional.
While there are many Machine Guns in the game, some legendary ones can be a great addition to your arsenal and an example of this is the Hammerhead from the BRAVE Arsenal.
This weapon was released in the past and has only become available once more thanks to the Into The Light update and one way to get it is through the Bring Down The Hammer quest.
How To Get Bring Down The Hammer Quest?
Bring Down The Hammer is a quest that was introduced during the second week of Into The Light and became available in the Hall of Champions.
While in the Hall of Champions, speaking to ARCITE 99-40 will allow you to choose multiple quests, including the Bring Down The Hammer Quest.
Bring Down The Hammer Quest Steps
Step 1: Complete One of The Following Objectives
Bring Down The Hammer requires that you make a display of your skills with a Machine Gun, which of course means you need to defeat enemies with it. (You have 2 objectives to choose from)
Your first option is to rapidly defeat combatants using a Machine Gun of any type anywhere in the system. (Doing this in Onslaught Activities provides quicker progress)
An alternative is to defeat combatants in Vanguard Ops Activities, which can be done faster if you do higher-difficulty Nightfalls.

Step 2: Return to the Hall of Champions and Unlock Access to Hammerhead at the Appropriate Holo-Shaxx
During the second quest step of Bring Down The Hammer, you will be making your way back to the Hall of Champions where you first got the quest.
You will then need to find and interact with the Hammerhead Holo-Shaxx, which is the second door on the left side of the hall.

Step 3: Speak to Shaxx within the Hall of Champions and Claim Your Prize
After you have attuned with the Hammerhead Holo-Shaxx, make your way to Lord Shaxx to speak with him and you will be able to claim a Mastercrafted Hammerhead Legendary Machine Gun.

Bring Down The Hammer Quest Rewards
Claiming the Hammerhead from Lord Shaxx will complete the quest and since the weapon is Mastercrafted, it will be fully upgraded.
Additionally, not only will you get the Mastercrafted Legendary Machine Gun, but you will also obtain 200 Hype (Lord Shaxx Reputation) when the quest is complete.
Verdict
The Hammerhead Legendary Machine Gun will have increased Range because of its upgrades and since it is Mastercrafted, this will be maxed out.
Increased range on the Hammerhead makes it exceptional in a fight when shot at longer distances, which allows it to deal more damage from afar.
The damage that this weapon can deal makes it great for both groups of enemies and tough bosses, especially with the Indomitability Origin Trait that helps regenerate energy.
