ARK Lost Island Boss (Fight, Variants, Tributes, Rewards)

ARK Dinopithecus King Boss

The Lost Island Arena is a boss fight that pits you against the Dinopithecus King, an overgrown variant of the usual baboons you find on the Lost Island.

The Dinopithecus King is a boss in the map Lost Island. Alongside this Dinopithecus King, you will also encounter strange variants of some of the Lost Island creatures such as Dinopithecus riding Amargasaurus or flying with Sinomacrops.

With a lot of space with a few hindrances in getting around, this proves to be one of the more challenging boss fights due to the unique enemies.

Lost Island Boss Fight (Dinopithecus King)

Fighting the Dinopithecus King is quite simple if you are well equipped and have the right tames for the fight which can take on the other minions.

Taking on the Dinopithecus King is easy with powerful creatures but you will also need to watch out for Dinopithecus riding Amargasaurus and Flying Dinopithecus (flown by Sinomacrops.)

The best thing to do is clear out the other creatures to stop Dinopithecus from throwing grenades, Amargasaurus from firing their spikes, and Sinomacrops from poking at you.

Once you clear the other minions, focus your tames to attack the Dinopithecus King until he retreats and resummons a whole new set of minions.

Repeat this process until the Dinopithecus King has been defeated and the battle will be over.

Tips

  • Make sure to bring mounts that can take damage who can also charge forward to take on the damage from the Dinopithecus King as well as distract its minions.
  • Bring weapons that can help you shoot Sinomacrops off of the backs of some of the Dinopithecus minions so you can kill them with your mounts.
  • Takedown the Amargasaurus as fast as you can to prevent them from scattering several spikes which can cause serious issues during the fight.
  • The Dinopithecus King will repeat its steps often, so just clear enemies, damage them and repeat.

  1. If you happen to have a reaper king, the tail swipe will damage the Sinomacrops and when killed, the dinopithecus riders will fall to the ground. This helps to keep them from throwing the poop bombs at you, blinding and slowing you. Also, stay away from the Amargasaurus because they will temporarily destroy your mount’s saddle, knocking you to the ground and exposing you to tons of damage. If you don’t have a reaper, bring something that can damage flying creatures.
