You previously met a man named Cormond and saved him from being killed by a Strange Demon and he has mentioned he has a way of curing these creatures.
He mentioned that he was heading to Orbei Monastery and wanted you to meet him there as he believes that the two of you can see things right.
Now following this researcher, you will need to find out if what he says is true and meet him where he is stationed.
How To Get A Plague of Hatred Quest?
A Plague of Hatred is the second Season Quest in Season of the Malignant that begins once you have completed the quest called Burning from Within.
A Plague of Hatred Objectives
1) Find Cormond outside of Orbei
Cormond will already be at his spot at The Anemic Falls, which can be found in the Dindai Flats of the Dry Steppes and you will need to go to him.
2) Speak with Cormond
Once you arrive, Cormond will be glad that you came but will mention that he needs your help as The Malignant has begun to encroach on several locations.
3) Defeat Malignant in the Ravening Pit
There will be a dungeon called the Ravening Pit, which you will need to head over and enter to complete before returning to Cormond. (Enter Ravening Pit and clear)
4) Craft a Brutal Malignant Invoker at Cormond’s Workbench
Now that you have cleared the Ravening Pit, you will need to head back to Cormond’s Workbench to craft a Brutal Malignant Invoker.
You should have all the materials for the item by now and can craft it right away by accessing Cormond’s Workbench and selecting it.
5) Find a Brutal Outgrowth
Your next task is to find a Brutal Outgrowth, which can be done in the dungeon marked on your map as one will be found inside of it.
You will be entering the Dindai Hollow and most players would think that you would need to clear the dungeon but instead, you can head to the upper right to find the Brutal Outgrowth.
6) Use an Invoker on an outgrowth
Once you find the Outgrowths, you will need to select the Brutal Outgrowth (a Wrathful Outgrowth is nearby as well) as this is the only one you have an Invoker for.
This will consume the Brutal Malignant Invoker and the quest will be complete but before you leave, you might want to kill the enemies summoned for some loot.
A Plague of Hatred Quest Rewards
Once you have used the Brutal Malignant Invoker on a Malignant Overgrowth, the quest will be complete and you will receive the following:
- XP
- Gold
- Herb Cache
