Warframe Kullervo (Hold Event, Boss Fight & Rewards)

Kullervo is a Warframe that was added in The Crimes of Kullervo update, which allowed players to obtain the Warframe but to obtain and craft its parts, he needed to be challenged.

This is because defeating Kullervo will reward you with a currency called Kullervo’s Bane, which can be used to purchase the Kullervo Blueprint and its components.

During the first two weeks of the update, Kullervo can be encountered in the Kullervo’s Hold event, otherwise, he later needs to be fought in The Lone Story or The Duviri Experience.

Kullervo’s Hold Event

The Kullervo’s Hold event is a limited-time event that guarantees an instance where Kullervo can be fought during The Lone Story.

This requires that you first have 5 Pathos Clamps to run the mission tied to the event, which can be started from the Starchart.

After the Kullervo’s Hold Event is over, you will need to encounter Kullervo’s Hold by chance during the following spirals:

  • Anger
  • Sorrow
  • Fear

How To Defeat Kullervo?

Fighting Kullervo begins during the sixth stage of a spiral and to start the fight, you will need to speak to The Warden.

Kullervo will rush towards you as soon as the fight begins but may tend to attack you with his daggers from afar, which you will need to dodge.

He will come after you with his melee attacks and often use skills such as Recompose and Storm of Ukko when you are near him.

Kullervo’s Health Bar will have 3 phases, which will cause him to become more aggressive as his health becomes depleted.

On his last Health Bar, Kullervo will be attacked by a mysterious being, who stabs him repeatedly, allowing you to take advantage of the moment.

Kullervo Boss Rewards

After defeating Kullervo, you will obtain rewards similar to how you complete objectives during The Lone Story or The Duviri Experience.

Once you have continued and defeated the Orowyrm at the end of the spiral, you will be rewarded with 4 to 6 Kullervo’s Bane. (Currency)

In the Steel Path, the amount of Kullervo’s Bane may be around 6 to 8 Kullervo’s Bane but this may be a tough fight.

Verdict

Kullervo seems to have similarities with the enemies that you face in the Junctions and will use his abilities from time to time.

Each time a Health Bar is depleted, Kullervo will enter the arena once more to continue attacking you until one of you loses.

In the end, it seems like Kullervo becomes capable of showing you his respect once you have defeated him in the arena.
