Bone Skills have been a favorite of many players who use the Necromancer class and one of the more powerful skills they have is the Bone Spirit.
While this ability is mainly used in more dire times, it is best to make the most of it, which can be done with Aspect of the Swelling Curse.
Aspect of the Swelling Curse modifies Bone Spirit to have increased damage based on the distance that it has traveled.
Aspect of Swelling Curse Effects (Bone Spirit Aspect)
When you have Aspect of Swelling Curse as an active Aspect, the damage of Bone Spirit will be increased based on the distance it has traveled.
This means that the further the Bone Spirit travels, the more bonus damage it will have when it damages an enemy.
To make this more efficient, it is best to cast this at medium range or from afar to get the most damage done to enemies.

How To Get Aspect of Swelling Curse? (Hive Walkthrough)
1) Collect Animus from Animus Carriers
Once you enter the Hive, you will be in the Swarm Bed, which is where you will need to search for Animus Carriers.
You will need to kill the Animus Carriers to obtain Animus, which is later needed for the Animus Urn that opens the next area.
2) Deposit Animus into the Animus Urn
After collecting enough Animus by killing the Animus Carriers, you will need to interact with the Animus Urn to dispel a nearby barrier.
3) Travel to the Webbed Den
With the barrier now gone, your next destination will be the Webbed Den but along the way, you may encounter an additional objective. (We had to destroy a Silken Spire)
4) Defeat the Broodguard
Upon reaching the Webbed Den, the Broodguard will be in the area waiting for you and you will need to kill it to complete the dungeon.
Verdict
Since Bone Spirit consumes all your Essence, it is best to use this when you want to deal a lot of damage and are currently on the move.
This is a great way of taking out groups of enemies faster while you are repositioning yourself during a fight to avoid wasting Essence.
Keep in mind that the further the Bone Spirit travels, the more damage it deals, which includes the distance of an enemy running away.
