Rogues have a habit of imbuing their skills with different elements, which are Poison, Shadow, and Cold, which affect the skills in certain ways.
Because of this, increasing the potency of the imbuements will make them more effective and give you an easier time taking out your enemies.
This can be done when you have the Aspect of Corruption, which is a good addition to most Rogue Builds that rely on imbuements.
Aspect of Corruption Effects (Imbuement Aspect)
With Aspect of the Corruption imprinted on one of your equipped items, your Imbuement Skill effects will have a certain percentage of increased potency.
The percentage of the increased potency can range from numbers between 20% to 40% depending on how you imprint your items and what level they are.
This will make your Poison, Shadow, and Cold effects more effective against enemies, increasing the duration, amount of damage, and more.
Aspect of Corruption Location
The Aspect of Corruption can be unlocked by completing the Renegade’s Retreat Dungeon, which can be found in Caldeum. (Kehjistan)
Reaching the Renegades Retreat would be fastest by heading north from Denshar or southeast from the Imperial Library.
How To Get Aspect of Corruption? (Renegade’s Retreat Walkthrough)
At the beginning of the Renegade’s Retreat Dungeon, you will be traversing from the Hideout Entrance to the Hideout Corridors until you can unlock the Treasure Room Doors.
- Slay the Keepers (3)
- Use the Treasure Room Key to open the Treasure Room Door
- Defeat the Outlaw Sharpshooter
The Treasure Room Key will drop from the last Keeper that you slay and this will be needed to open the Treasure Room Door where the Outlaw Sharpshooter is waiting.
Once the Treasure Room Door has been opened, you will need to make your way to the Treasure Trove to fight the Outlaw Sharpshooter.
Verdict
A lot of Rogue Builds will rely on the Imbuement Skill, especially those who love to take multiple enemies out when using a Rogue Shadow Build. (Shadow Imbuement)
There are also combinations between the different Imbuement Skills or effects from your other skills that can trigger certain reactions with other Aspects.
The ability to make the most out of your Imbuement Skill can play a big part in fighting enemies, especially when you face tougher ones in Sanctuary.
