When using an Ice Sorcerer Build, the ability to freeze enemies is often something that you can take advantage of in a fight.
There is more that you can do though that can make killing your enemies weaker, which is using the Aspect of Biting Cold.
With the Aspect of Biting Cold, you get a good chance to make enemies vulnerable when you freeze them, making them take more damage.
Aspect of Biting Cold Effects (Freeze Aspect)
Aspect of Biting Cold has a chance to trigger whenever an enemy becomes frozen, regardless of what skill you have used to cause this.
Whenever an enemy has been frozen, you will have a certain chance that they will also become vulnerable as soon as the freeze is over.
This is a great way to weaken your enemies and also Crowd Controlling them, making it easier to kill single targets or even a whole group.
Aspect of Biting Cold Location
The Aspect of Biting Cold is unlocked by completing the Forgotten Depths Dungeon, which can be found south of Ked Bardu in the Dindai Flats. (Dry Steppes)
How To Get Aspect of Biting Cold? (Forgotten Depths Walkthrough)
1) Free the Prisoners
As you enter the Forgotten Depths, you will find yourself in the Unearthed Crypt where you will need to search for 6 caged prisoners and free them.
2) Travel to the Profane Halls
After you have released the prisoners, continue pushing forward making your way to the Profane Halls but on your way there, you will encounter a random objective.
3) Return the Mechanical Box
Once you arrive at the Profane Halls, search for a Mechanical Box and bring it back to the Pedestal to open a sealed door.
4) Defeat the Tomb Lord
As soon as the sealed door is opened, the path to the Tomb Lord will be accessible and this boss needs to be killed to complete the dungeon.
Verdict
Enemies that are vulnerable take extra damage from your attacks, which makes this a good way to weaken an enemy or a whole group.
Aside from being frozen, the extra damage makes it easier to take out certain enemies, especially since Aspect of Biting Cold can be triggered often.
When using a Sorcerer Frost Build (Also referred to as Ice Build), this Aspect becomes extremely useful in higher level dungeons.
