After Cormond confessed to playing a part in the creation of the Malignant (by accident) in an attempt to cleanse Varshan, he is still determined to find a cure.
He is hoping that you are still going to join him in this attempt and has made his way to Hawezar, where he will be waiting for you.
You will need to head over to Hawezar near Zarbinzet to continue helping him as this will be the only way the Malignant may be cured.
How To Get A Prayer for Salvation Quest?
A Prayer for Salvation becomes available once you have completed the Answers in Ashes quest, where you previously accompanied Cormond to the Orbei Monastery.
A Prayer for Salvation Objectives
1) Speak to Cormond near Zarbinzet
Cormond will be stationed right outside of Zarbinzet and you will need to speak with him there to find out what needs to be done next.
He will then instruct you to obtain 3 specific items that can all be found within Hawezar which he will need for what is to come.
2) Collect the Crusader Missives Near Crusader’s Monument
The first item on the list is the Crusader Missives, which can be found in the Crusader’s Monument Stronghold.
Take note, you do not have to conquer the Stronghold, and can simply find the Crusader Missives near the Worn Gravestone located in the northern part of the Stronghold.
The second item on the list is the Paladin Prayer Book, which can be obtained by opening a Charred Chest within Eriman’s Pyre Stronghold.
This may be a difficult one if you are not yet near Level 35 as the enemies are tough and you will need to progress a bit in the Stronghold.
The Charred Chest is located northwest of Eriman’s Pyre, which requires you to interact with the Fiery Focus to open up the path. (Defeat the elite to obtain the Villager’s Remains to do this)
3) Collect the Tithe Ledger
The last item you need to search for is the Tithe Ledger, which is found near the entrance of the Belfry Zakara Dungeon.
You can find the Belfry Zakara Dungeon in Rotspill Delta and this is located to the north of the town of Backwater.
4) Speak with Cormond
Now that you have everything that Cormond asked you to retrieve, head back to him and speak with him to complete the quest.

After bringing all 3 items back to Cormond, the quest will be complete and you will receive Gold and XP based on your current level.
Additionally, this will allow you to proceed with the questline, which immediately starts the Hope’s Guardian Season Quest.
Verdict
Cormond now has what he needs thanks to your help and will need some time to figure out what the next steps will be.
With the Malignant still on the move, you will need to take up the free time to fight them back until Cormond is ready.
The Den of the Blighted and Fissure of Malice are your next targets, which will be where you start in the Hope’s Guardian Season Quest.
