Chapter 12 sends you off searching for vengeance in a rather peculiar way, which is to deface the portrait of Ramon Salazar as requested by an anonymous person.
It appears they are disgusted with him and want you to head over to a room that has been photographed to defile Ramon Salazar’s portrait.
You will need to go to the location shown in the image, find Ramon Salazar’s portrait, and find a way to ruin it, which is hinted at by the anonymous person saying to hit it with something.
How To Get The Disgrace of the Salazar Family Request?
The Disgrace of the Salazar Family request is nearby The Merchant just as you leave the elevator after speaking with Ada Wong via comms.
It can be found on the wall next to the Jewel Thief request just as you make your way to The Merchant, which is kind of hard to miss.
How To Deface Ramon Salazar’s Portrait?
The portrait of Ramon Salazar can be found within the Throne Room, which means you need to head your way back to the Ballroom and pass through the Antechamber.
Ramon Salazar’s portrait will be on the left side of the throne and you will need to deface the portrait by throwing any type of egg at it to ruin it as requested by the anonymous person.
At this point in the game, you may not have an egg with you and there are two ways for you to get one within the Throne Room.
There is a Square Lock Box within the Throne Room that you can open if you have already found the Cubic Device, which has a Golden Egg inside of it.
The Golden Egg can be used to defile the portrait of Ramon Salazar, which is done by equipping it and throwing it at the portrait.
Of course, this would feel like a waste since it is after all a Golden Egg but not to worry, there are other ways to get an egg in the Throne Room.
Once you enter the Throne Room, you will notice that there are a couple of chickens roaming about and one of these can provide you with an egg.
Head over to the brown chicken and wait for some time and it will lay a Brown Chicken Egg, which you can now pick up and use.
Equip the Brown Chicken Egg and head for the portrait and you can throw it at the portrait as if you were aiming a grenade, which will complete the request.
The Disgrace of the Salazar Family Request Rewards
After ruining the portrait of Ramon Salazar using an egg, you will receive 4 Spinels once you talk to The Merchant again.
Verdict
Ramon Salazar was supposed to be an heir to the throne of the Salazar family but as a child he became more vile as he grew up.
He eventually was known to be a cruel person which may have also been due to the influence of Osmund Saddle and his cult.
It looks like the only way for the anonymous person to exact his vengeance, for now, would be to ruin the portrait of the Salazar family’s disgrace with an egg.
