While venturing around the northern parts of Kyovashad, you encounter a strange piece of paper that has a riddle on it.
The riddle reads “Beacon of warmth in winter’s embrace, patience rewarded by nature’s grace” and you will need to solve it.
This is one of the shorter side quests that you get in the game and it is easier to solve than you may think once you think carefully about the riddle.
How To Get Secret of the Spring?
The Secret of the Spring Side Quests will begin once you read the Discarded Note that can be found to the north of Kyovashad.
Secret of the Spring Quest Objectives
1) Solve the note’s riddle
The first thing you will need to do is read the riddle as the solution to it is hinted at with the words that are written on it.
You will then need to head over to the nearby spring, which will be marked on your map and is a dead giveaway about the first part of the riddle.
To solve the riddle, you simply need to do the “Wait” emote, which is a reference to the word patience that was mentioned in the note.
2) Open the Buried Chest
Once you have performed the “Wait” emote, a Buried Chest will come out of the ground and you will need to open it to obtain the rewards.
Secret of the Spring Riddle Solution
The Secret of the Springs riddle mentions the Beacon of warmth in winter’s embrace which is clearly the hot spring in the middle of the cold land.
The next part is patience rewarded by nature’s grace where patience is represented by the “wait” emote and the herbs in the Buried Chest are the rewards as they are from nature.

You can find the Secret of the Spring Quest just north of Kyovashad and can reach it by climbing up from one of any of the sides leading to it.
Secret of the Spring Rewards
After solving the riddle and opening the chest, the quest will be complete and you will be rewarded with the following:
- XP
- Gold
- 20 Fractured Peaks Renown
There won’t be any cache among the rewards but you will be able to get some herbs from the Buried Chest that you open.
Verdict
Solving this riddle may have been one of the simplest yet fun things to do and even though there is not a lot of action, you get some XP to help you progress.
The riddle itself already had the clues in it and it just takes a matter of time before you would have figured out what needed to have been done.
It is unknown to this moment who would have left the note and Buried Chest but whoever they are, they probably appreciate a patient person.
