While exploring the Khargai Crags, you may encounter the Onyx Watchtower Stronghold, which can be conquered to earn you rewards and unlock a new waypoint.
The Onyx Watchtower is the home of several bandits, who have become quite a menace in the area that needs to be dealt with.
You will need to enter their stronghold and wreak mayhem upon them until you can force their captain to come out of hiding.
How To find the Onyx Watchtower Stronghold?
The Onyx Watchtower Stronghold can be reached by heading to the east of Ked Bardu, which is where you will find the Khargai Flats.
Exploring the area between Ked Bardu and the Khargai Flats will bring you to the Onyx Watchtower Stronghold location, which begins the stronghold event.
The Onyx Watchtower Stronghold Objectives
1) Explore the Onyx Watchtower
Once you are within the Onyx Watchtower’s radius, you will need to climb up the side of a cliff and head further into the marked area.
2) Purge the bandits and raze their encampment
As you enter the encampment, you will need to slay enemies and destroy a certain number of their structures, which can be found all over the place. (A meter needs to be filled)
3) Slay the Captain’s lieutenants
There will be certain marked elite enemies in the area that you will need to defeat and one of them will drop a Storeroom Key.
The Storeroom Key will allow you to reach one of the other lieutenants in the area, which requires you to slay them as well to complete the objective. (4 Lieutenants in total)
4) Find Captain Ezmin inside the Watchtower
After taking out the lieutenants and razing the encampment, you will need to proceed by heading to the marked area to face the Captain.
5) Slay Captain Ezmin
As you enter the area, Captain Ezmin will begin to attack you and she will be accompanied by other bandits during the fight.
You will need to watch out for her grenades and be ready for when she attempts to disappear and deal with a surprise attack.
6) Rekindle the Wanderer’s Shrine to conquer the Onyx Watchtower
After you have slain Captain Ezmin, you may proceed to the Wanderer’s Shrine and interact with it to conquer the Onyx Watchtower.
The Onyx Watchtower Stronghold Rewards
Completing, the Onyx Watchtower Stronghold will provide you with a new Waypoint to teleport to as well as 100 Dry Steppes Renown.
It is possible that during the fight with Captain Ezmin that you may obtain different loot, which has a chance to include Rare and Legendary items.
Additionally, the Waypoint in the Onyx Watchtower may be unlocked and will provide you with another 20 Dry Steppes Renown.
