Necromancers have different types of skills to choose from and when it comes to Bone Skills, a lot of damage can be done with the right amount of Essence.
With the Aspect of Torment, Necromancers can benefit from an increase in Essence Regeneration for a short period after a Critical Strike.
This however requires that the Critical Strike is done with a Bone Skill, which also includes the Bone Splinters Basic Skill.
Aspect of Torment Effects (Essence Aspect)
Aspect of Torment relies heavily on your ability to get Critical Strikes, making it important to focus more on this to trigger it often.
Once you deal a Critical Strike with any Bone Skill, you will get increased Essence Regeneration for a short duration.
This will allow you to quickly build up your Essence as you fight enemies, allowing you to cast more skills in a fight without waiting as much.
Aspect of Torment Location
You can get Aspect of Torment by completing the Black Asylum Dungeon, which can be found to the northeast of Kyovashad at the Asylum Lot in the Frigid Expanse. (Shattered Peaks)
How To Get Aspect of Torment? (Black Asylum Walkthrough)
1) Activate the Gate Winches
Once you enter the Black Asylum, you will be in the Outer Gates area, which requires that you find 2 Gate Winches and interact with them.
You will need to explore the area and find them at the ends of certain paths as you fight through enemies and once both have been activated, you will be able to open a nearby door.
2) Open the door
Make your way to the door, which you may have already passed by earlier as you searched for the Gate Winches, and go through it.
3) Travel to the Haunted Cellblock
Once you have made your way through the door, continue by fighting your way through the monsters until you reach the Haunted Cellblock.
4) Slay all enemies in the Haunted Cellblock
The Haunted Cellblock will have several enemies that need to be killed and you can find them by exploring the area further. (They are marked as red on your map)
5) Defeat the Undying
An elite known as The Undying (Remondin Cagebane) will appear once all the enemies have been slain along with other monsters that you need to fight.
Remondin Ragebane will attack you using a bow and can trap you with walls as you fight against him but you can easily get out of it.
Verdict
Remondin Cagebane is one of the easier elites that you encounter in the game and all you need to worry about is getting trapped in his walls with several other monsters.
Once you have Aspect of Torment, you will be able to recover your Essence faster as long as your Bone Skills deal critical hits, which are often done with Bone Spear Builds.
Bone Necro Build users will want to get their hands on Aspect of Torment to have a good supply of Essence when they are in battle.
