ARK: How To Make Electronics

ARK Electronics

When it comes to better technology, there is a need for Electronics, especially when you want a base that is set up with defenses and better utility structures.

Electronics is a craftable resource that is used in crafting structures and items which are often an upgrade of more primitive ones.

These resources are needed later on when you want to move from a fuel-powered Fabricator and start base will lighting, cooling, better crafting, and more.

How to Make Electronics?

Upon reaching level 48 in the game, players will be able to unlock the Electronics Engram and will be able to start crafting it in the Fabricator. (Also Tek Replicator later on)

Electronics are crafted using 3x Silica Pearl and 1x Metal Ingot or Scrap Ingot, which is equivalent to a piece of Electronics.

While Metal Ingots are not that difficult to obtain, it is important to find Silica Pearls which are mostly found near bodies of water.

Using an Angler can speed up the process of creating more Electronics as these creatures harvest Silica Pearls in larger amounts.

Harvesting Tek Creatures

Some creatures such as the Tek Stegosaurus or Tek Rex can be harvested for Electronics, which is due to their infusion with Tek.

Robotic creatures such as the Defender or Defense Unit and others within the Extinction Map can be harvested for Electronics as well.

It appears that using a Chainsaw is a great way to collect Electronics from killed Tek or Robotic creatures in Ark.

Extinction Structures

In the Extinction map, there are some structures such as lampposts, tables, benches, and more that can be harvested for Electronics and more. (including Element Dust)

Using a Doedicurus has proven to be an effective method in farming some of the structures in Extinction but there are also other ways.

Verdict

The issue most of the time with mass producing Electronics is the supply of Silica Pearls and once you are capable of farming large quantities, you won’t have much trouble.

By gaining access to Electronics, you can start swapping out your old primitive structures for a Generator, Chemistry Bench, Fabricator and more.

Electronics are also important for survival since they can be used to create Air Conditioners, which allow players to survive in harsher conditions.
