ARK: How to Get Fiber

ARK FIber

Fiber is a resource in Ark that you can obtain in small amounts early on but as you progress, you can find other ways to collect more of it.

Most of the items that seem to need some kind of tying or need to be bonded by this sturdy rope-like resource require a decent amount of Fiber.

Players will mostly need Fiber when it comes to crafting certain weapons, tools, armor, and even saddles for tamed creatures.

How to Get Fiber?

Fiber can be gathered from plants or bushes and is usually gathered along with different kinds of berries at the same time.

A better way for you to get Fiber is to use a Sickle and later on a Mining Drill, which can be crafted later on when you have access to a Forge and Smithy.

You may also tame certain creatures such as a Therizinosaur, Excavation Rig, Dire Bear, and others that can harvest Fiber.

Best Way to Farm Fiber

The best way to harvest Fiber is to use a Therizinosaur which excels at gathering due to its ability to put points into Delicate Harvesting.

When no tamed creatures are available that harvest Fiber, you can make use of a Sickle which does a fine job when collecting the said resource.

Even if the Mining Drill is thought to be a tool for mining, it is an all-around tool and can also gather Fiber and berries from plants or bushes.

Fiber Uses

Several types of armor require Fiber when crafting, which makes it important to have a large amount, especially when crafting higher rarity blueprints.

Verdict

Fiber is a very common resource but sometimes you may need more than necessary at the time to be saved for later on.

Farming a huge amount of Fiber at an early stage may take a lot of time and you should prepare other means to collect it.

It is best to make use of tools or creatures to get larger amounts of fiber as this can also help save time as well.

There are several uses for Fiber and sometimes when it comes to crafting, you will need a very large amount depending on blueprints that require it.
