Season of the Malignant is here and there is a whole new experience waiting for both new and veteran players to enjoy.
One thing in mind though is how Season of the Malignant can be started since a lot is going on in the game.
For starters, there are two ways to start, which is to either play the long way or jump right into the action to experience what the season has to offer.
Season of the Malignant Requirements
To play in the Season of the Malignant, you will need to make a new character as the Eternal Realm characters cannot be used.
Additionally, you will need to complete the campaign before your character can proceed with the Season of the Malignant.
For those who want to skip the campaign, the option is available if you have already finished it once, but you will still need a new character. (You start at level 1 again)
How To Start Season Quest?
The Season Quest will only begin if you have completed the campaign and skip all the time of completing it again, you can skip.
By selecting to skip the campaign when making a new character, you can jump right into Season 1 and start with the Season Quest.
If you decide to play the campaign again to gain experience, equipment, and more, you will only be able to experience the Season Quest after completing the main campaign.
Skipping the Campaign
If you are wondering if you should skip the campaign, we suggest you do if you have already completed it with another character.
This will allow you to enjoy Season 1 as soon as possible without having to go through hours of the game that you may have already completed.
Skipping the campaign puts you straight into Kyovashad near the Season of the Malignant quest NPC, allowing you to jump in right away.
Seasonal Characters
Playing Season of the Malignant will be unavailable for Eternal Realm characters, which is why you need to create a new one and start from level 1.
Creating a new character will place them into the Seasonal Realm, which allows you to start enjoying Season of the Malignant.
Once the season is over, your character will be moved to the Eternal Realm, which is where your previous characters will be.

If you are wondering if you should skip the campaign, we suggest you do if you have already completed it with another character.
Since a lot of players will be skipping the campaign and making attempts to speedrun the season, it is best if you sipped it as well to enjoy it faster.
Unless you create a new character for the season, you won’t be able to delve much into the Season of the Malignant.
