Barriers are one of the best ways to improve your chances of survival when facing group enemies or going head-on with an elite or boss enemy.
There are multiple ways for you to create a Barrier, which are mostly by using Aspects or skills and this can lead to an even better benefit.
Aspect of the Deflecting Barriers can make any Barrier that you have to gain a chance to completely prevent certain ranged attacks from hitting you.
Aspect of the Deflecting Barrier Effects (Barrier Aspect)
With Aspect of the Deflecting Barrier imprinted on one of your items, you gain a chance based on a percentage to ignore incoming direct damage from distant enemies.
This means that once you have any type of Barrier active, there will be a chance for the attack to not deal any damage or disrupt you.
This chance for this to happen will only be when a Barrier is active, which can be triggered by Aspects or when you use skills that create a Barrier.
Aspect of the Deflecting Barrier Location
Aspect of the Deflecting Barrier becomes available in your Codex once you have completed the Lost Keep Dungeon, which can be found in the Umir Plateau. (Hawezar)
Umir Plateau can be found by heading north from Zarbinzet and is located near the Bastion of Faith and Endless Gates Dungeons.
How To Get Aspect of the Deflecting Barrier? (Lost Keep Walkthrough)
Entering the Lost Keep will have you starting in the Scattered Halls where you will need to reach the Throne of the Lost and fight the Resurrected Malice.
- Slay Fractured Spirits (3)
- Travel to the Desecrated Chambers
- Collect Animus from Animus Carriers
- Deposit Animus into the Animus Urns
- Defeat the Resurrected Malice
After you have deposited the Animus into the Animus Urn, you will be able to proceed to the throne of the Lost and fight the Resurrected Malice.
Once the Resurrected Malice has been defeated, Aspect of the Deflecting Barrier will be unlocked in your Codex.
Verdict
Aspect of the Deflecting Barrier is a great addition to builds that have you taking on multiple enemies regardless of you attacking from a distance.
This can be useful when you get swarmed by multiple enemies or are being attacked by tougher foes from afar as it can block ranged damage.
With this Aspect, you gain more survivability as you focus on more enemies even with ranged ones taking free hits at you.
