How to Use Rope: BG3 (Baldur’s Gate 3)

In Baldur’s Gate 3, there are a lot of items that you can get your hands on and some of these can be potential weapons or have specific uses in the world.

One of the items that players have been wondering about is what they can do with a Rope, which happens to be an item that you can often find.

Sad to say, a Rope does not have that many uses in this game, even when it comes to crafting but it can still be a funny thing to toss around.

What is Rope Used For?

From its description of being “A length of strong, hand-braided rope” there is not much that you can do with this item.

There are no real uses for a Rope, but you can still throw it at your enemies and the funny thing about it is that it can knock them down.

While it isn’t the best thing for you to throw, it is still something you can use if you do not have a ranged weapon equipped on your character or it can be used to block objects if thrown right.

Some may think that the Rope can be used in crafting, but this appears to be false since there is no option for you to combine it.

What To Do with Rope?

There is not really much you can do with a Rope in Baldur’s Gate 3 but you can still sell it off for a little bit of Gold, especially if you have a lot of it and other useless items.

Throwing your Rope at an enemy can be funny sometimes but in a serious fight, this would be a waste of a character’s turn, making it unnecessary to use.

With, its best to just sell the Ropes that you collect along with the other useless items that you find lying around for some extra coin.

Verdict

Previously it would be believed that a Rope could have various uses, such as climbing, tying things, or even crafting items in the game.

It has been revealed that there is no purpose for the Rope, but you will never know, something might change in the future, but this depends on if the developers see a use for it.

As of now, you are better off just selling all your useless junk to merchants along with any Ropes that you find along the way.
