While exploring the Roadside Cliffs, there is a certain cliff that you can climb up to that will provide you with a potential weapon.
This is an item called a Spider Egg Sac, which can be used to summon spiders to fight for you once you have dropped or thrown the egg.
To get this, you will first need to find the Rocky Crevice that holds the Spider Egg Sac within so that you can use it against your enemies.
How To Get Spider Egg Sac?
The Spider Egg Sac can be obtained by climbing up a cliff and interacting with a Rocky Crevice, which requires that you pass a skill check.
Failing the skill check will cause you to be bitten at first but continuous failures will cause Crag Spiders to appear and attack you.
Passing the skill check will allow you to take a pouch containing the Spider Egg Sac while defeating the Crag Spiders will allow you to take it afterward without trouble.
Spider Egg Sac Location (Rocky Crevice)
The Rocky Crevice that you can take the Pouch containing the Spider Egg Sac can be found near the Roadside Cliffs, but you will have to travel north to reach it.
The path leading to the Rocky Crevice is near the Emerald Grove Environs and you will need to jump up to the cliff before you can get your hounds on the pouch.
Jumping up is no problem and your party will follow you after you have done so, which will allow your group to continue making your way to the Rocky Crevice.
How To Use Spider Egg Sac?
The Spider Egg Sac can be used both in and out of combat, but this is done by throwing it (which deals small damage in an area or by dropping it and attacking it.
Whichever you choose to do will result in 5 Crag Spiders coming out from it, which can then be controlled by you both in and out of combat.
Spiders will do around 1-7 damage with the chance of being Poison Damage when they strike your enemies.
After a Long Rest, the Crag Spiders Will Disappear and you will not have any other way to summon them unless you find another Spider Egg Sac.

When it comes to a fight in Baldur’s Gate 3, having more companions can be a huge advantage while bonus familiars can increase your chances of survival.
With the help of 5 Crag Spiders on your side, you can deal a good amount of damage and distract the enemy from attacking you first.
Sadly, there is no way to keep the spiders forever or continuously spawn them unless you obtain another Spider Egg Sac.
