Unwritten End is a short Side Quest where you find a Merchant’s Ledger which appears to have been dropped by someone traveling in Magrave.
While there is not much information that you can obtain from it, there is someone in Margrave who can determine what it is all about.
You will need to bring this back to Zalan Coste as he is the one who dabbles in these kinds of lost items, which may later reward you.
How To Get Unwritten End?
The Unwritten End Side Quest may be obtained by picking up the Merchant’s Ledger, which often happens during The Cleansing Flame Side Quest.
The Merchant’s Ledger appears to drop when you are fighting off enemies after lighting the Ritual Brazier in Ashen Hollow.
Unwritten End Quest Objectives
1) Pick up Merchant’s Ledger
This quest will only begin once you get the Merchant’s Ledger and once you have picked it up, your next step will be to bring it back to Zalan Coste.
The Merchant’s Ledger will most likely drop when you are fighting enemies during The Cleansing Flame around the part where you have to clear out the enemies.
2) Show the Merchant’s Ledger to Zalan Coste
Take the Merchant’s Ledger to Zalan Coste in Margrave and speak to him about it, which will end up with him talking about its history.
Unwritten End Rewards
After bringing the Merchant’s Ledger to Zalan Coste and hearing about its history, the quest will be complete and you will get the following:
- XP
- Gold
- 20 Fractured Peaks Renown
- 1 Elixir Cache
Verdict
Zalan Coste tells you about the traveling caravan that made its way around Margrave and that they set out to hire bodyguards.
Unfortunately, no one wanted to sign up for the job, and one by one the travelers went missing along the way.
Zalan Coste claims that he believes they never reached their destination, which is a hint that they must have met a cruel fate along the way.
