Starfield has a lot of different types of armor, and you sometimes find them by completing missions, exploring, and more but there is one set you can get easily.
The Mark I Armor Set consists of multiple pieces of armor that seem to have been one of the earliest sets that the constellation had made.
This set can be found tucked away inside their basement and is often locked but there is something you can do to easily get this without picking any locks.
How To Get Mark I Armor Set?
If you have gained access to The Lodge, you can head into the basement which has a lot of their items stored away, including some vintage items.
By heading down the stairs into the basement, taking a left to reach the split room, and turning right to go to the very end, you will find a mannequin in a display case.
The display case will be locked, and you will need to have at least Rank 3 with your Security Skill, making it seem you should come back later in the game.
This can be skipped though because heading close to the side with the handle will allow you to peek through an almost invisible gap, which will allow you to access the mannequin.
To do this, move up close to the case and there will be a tiny gap that allows you to target the mannequin with your crosshair.
You will be able to open the mannequin and take the Mark I Armor Set without the need to lockpick the door (display case), which allows you to this armor set with decent defense.
Mark I Armor Set Stats
There are 3 pieces of the Mark I Armor Set, which include the Mark I Spacesuit, Mark I Pack, and Mark I Space Helmet, which can all be obtained together.
It seems that this is a set that was intended to be obtained later in the game or if players had focused on the Security Skill when leveling up.
Obtaining this suit early in the game will provide you with a powerful set of armor but this lacks a rarity modifier that provides it with multiple perks.
The Mark I items provide you with a huge boost in defenses and resistance to certain elements, making it one of the best sets in the game without armor perks.
Mark I Armor Set Location
The Mark I Armor Set can be found in The Lodge by heading down to its basement, which has multiple rooms.
You will want to look for a room with the mannequin inside it, which you will be able to interact with to get the armor set.
Remember, you can get the armor set early if you cheese the display case or you can come back later to unlock it and get tougher armor. (Rolls are based on when you interact with the mannequin)
Verdict
While the Mark I Armor Set was meant to be obtained later when you have leveled up your Security Skill, being able to access it with the technique mentioned earlier allows you to get it.
If you get the Mark I Armor Set early on, you can rely on it for a good amount of time, but this means you won’t have armor perks.
The Mark I Armor Set bears a resemblance to the Constellation Suit and its other parts, which may be evidence that it was one of the first suits their group had.
