After receiving the information from the First Wyverian which was agreed upon after showing your worth by slaying the Rathalos and Diablos, the time has come to hunt down Zorah Magdaros once more.
You and the fleet will head for Everstream to intercept Zorah Magdaros as it ventures to die there and must be prevented from doing so in order to stop its death from causing the New World to become desolated.
You will need to join up with the fleet in order to alter Zorah Magdaros’ course so that it will not die in the Everstream.
Objectives
You will need to do your part and follow a series of objectives in order to stop Zorah Magdaros from causing doom to the New World.
Walkthrough
You will start off by being flown to the back of Zorah Magdaros where you will eventually begin searching for its magma cores.
Once you are on the back of Zorah Magdaros, head over to the nearest magma core and start attacking to weaken the monster.
After destroying the first magma core, head to the very top as it shifts its position and you will be able to find another magma core to destroy.
When you have destroyed the second magma core, the Nergigante will appear once more and start attacking members of the fleet.
You will need to head over to its location and repel it to prevent the attack on Zorah Magdaros from failing again.
After repelling the Nergigante, Zorah Magdaros will get up on all fours and continue along its path, which give you the opportunity to climb up and jump down to another magma core.
As you continue to attack the magma core, Zorah Magdaros will keep pushing which makes the Commander recall you to the front to attack it head-on.
You will need to make use of all the weapons in the area to deal as much damage as possible to Zorah Magdaros before it can destroy the defenses.
Once you have dealt enough damage, a cutscene will play and Zorah Magdaros will leave the area, preventing it from dying in the Everstream and ensuring that the New World is safe.
Quest Rewards
Once Zorah Magdaros has been driven away from the Everstream, the quest will be complete and you will be rewarded with 8280 Zenny.
After an expedition following this quest, the Invader In The Waste quest will become available.
Tips
- In order to finish the quest faster, try to deal as much damage as you can while you are on Zorah Magdaros’ back.
- There are farmable ore in the area which you can gather along the way to provide you with valuable resources later on.
- The Nergigante is quite powerful and should not be attacked head on with combos but instead, quick attacks followed by dodging to prevent taking damage.
- When fighting from the barrier, make sure to kill enemies pestering you before loading the cannons to avoid getting interrupted.
