Sorcerers have different Defensive Skills that they can use when fighting monsters but these tend to have a cooldown which leaves you a bit vulnerable.
Without an available Defensive Skill at a Sorcerer’s disposal, they will need to layback sometimes which can make quests or dungeon running take a bit longer.
With the Aspect of the Unwavering, the cooldown has a chance to be instantly reset, allowing you to use your Defensive Skill again.
Aspect of the Unwavering Effects (Crowd Control Aspect)
If you have the Aspect of the Unwavering imprinted on an item, this will provide you with a chance to instantly reset the cooldown of a Defensive Skill when you take damage.
Once a Defensive Skill is on cooldown, it will be among the choices for Aspect of the Unwavering, which has a small chance to be reset.
The more enemies that attack you, the higher the chance that the Defensive Skill will be reset, giving you a good chance to fight enemies continuously.
Aspect of the Unwavering Location
The Aspect of the Unwavering can be obtained by completing the Putrid Aquifer Dungeon, which can be found in the Ragged Coastline. (Kehjistan)
How To Get Aspect of the Unwavering? (Putrid Aquifer Walkthrough)
1) Collect Animus from Animus Carriers
Entering the Putrid Aquifer will bring you into the Diseased Watering Hole, which is where Animus Carriers need to be hunted for Animus.
2) Deposit Animus into the Animus Urn
Once you have collected enough Animus and have filled the bar under the objective, you will need to interact with the Animus Urn to deposit it.
3) Travel to the Rotting Cesspools
A barrier near the urn will be dispelled once you have deposited the Animus and you will be able to proceed to the Rotting Cesspools from here.
4) Destroy the Corpse Pile
Arriving in the Rotting Cesspools will bring you into an area where Corpse Piles have been scattered around and all 4 of them need to be destroyed.
Each Corpse Pile will be protected by enemies, including an elite enemy that will appear as you destroy each Corpse Pile.
Verdict
Most Sorcerers prefer to kite enemies when fighting them but in certain cases, jumping into a fight with a Defensive Skill active can be a quick way to clear out large groups.
If you are using a Sorcerer Lightning Lash build or any other builds that require you to get close to enemies, the Aspect of the Unwavering can be essential for your survival.
While it is not always required that you get close up and personal with enemies, having this Aspect is also beneficial when fighting enemies from afar.
