One of the most important resources in Ark is Metal Ingots, processed Metal that is used from crafting the majority of the late-game items.
As you progress further into building a larger base with better technology, you will need an increasingly large amount of Metal Ingots.
Players often build a base built with metal structures once they have enough resources, making Metal Ingots necessary for better defenses as well as other equipment.
How to Craft Metal Ingot?
Metal Ingot is crafted automatically when you place Metal (ore) into a Refining Forge or Industrial Forge, which must be turned on via having fuel in its inventory.
Over time, each 2x Metal (ore) will be turned into 1x Metal Ingots in the Refining Forge, while the Industrial Forge is capable of smelting 40x Metal into 20x Metal Ingots at a time.
Placing Metal in the inventory of a Phoenix or Magmasaur will convert it into Metal Ingots, allowing you to have a portable forge.
Best Way to Farm Metal Ingot
The best way to farm Metal Ingot, or to mass-produce it would be to have multiple Refining Forges during the earlier stages of the game.
Refining Forges are cheap to craft and you can split the Metal (ore) that you collect among them until you can craft an Industrial Forge.
It is ideal to have multiple Industrial Forges in the late game as you will be smelting a lot of Metal later on for your tribe’s needs.
Having multiple Magmasaurs or Phoenixes will allow you to craft a lot of Metal Ingots on the go, but maybe a bit hard to acquire for starters.
