How To Get Bound in Sorrow Quest?
The Bound in Sorrow quest is obtainable during the Season of the Haunted after you have completed the Operation: Midas mission. It can be obtained by interacting with the Crown of Sorrow at the H.E.L.M.

Bound in Sorrow Week 1
Step 1: Gather Vestiges of Dread to Power Up Your Nightmare Harvester
You have been tasked with venturing into the depths of the Leviathan in order to search for what answers may lie around regarding Emperor Calus’s Return.
Step 2: Complete Nightmare Containment Tiers and Obtain Bound Presence
Eris Morn needs to perform a ritual to sever Calus’s connection to the Lunar Pyramid and you have been sent to first harvest the essence of Nightmares aboard the Leviathan and beyond.
You will need to complete Nightmare Containment tiers until progress reaches 100% as well as bind Vestiges of Dread at least once to get a Bound Presence.

Step 3: Team Up With Crow to Perform A Ritual of Severance Aboard the Leviathan
With the first batch of reagents prepared, Eris is now ready to perform a ritual of severance to break Calus’s connection to the Lunar Pyramid.
You along with Crow will need to journey into the Leviathan’s Underbelly to defeat the Nightmare that will be waiting there.
Step 4: Check in with Crow in the H.E.L.M.
Crow is unable to overcome the shame of his past life and suffers a terrible defeat at the hands of the Nightmare of Uldren Sov.
You will need to check on Crow to see how he is taking this defeat before proceeding with the quest.

It appears that the connection Calus has to the Lunar Pyramid might be harder than expected after the previous defeat you and Crow suffered from.

After receiving counsel from you and Eris, Crow believes that he is ready to confront the Nightmare of Uldren Sov and sever Calus’s connection to the Lunar Pyramid.
Step 11: Speak to Crow in the H.E.L.M.
The ritual was a success and thanks to your efforts, Crow was able to confront and turn the Nightmare of Uldren Sov into something remarkable.
Crow will be at the H.E.L.M. waiting to discuss the victory that you have both shared.

It appears that Zavala was unprepared for the emotional challenge of confronting his Nightmare and withdrew to the Tower after the ritual had failed.
He has refused to speak to anyone about what has happened but maybe you will have better luck speaking with him.

The Empress intends to confront the Nightmare of Ghaul herself and Sever Calus’s connection to the Leviathan without the Vanguard’s aid.
You will need to find Empress Caiatl somewhere in the Underbelly of the Leviathan before it’s too late.
Step 34: Find Eris in Sanctuary on the Moon
Eris Morn believes she has discovered a thread relating to Calus’s plan for the Lunar Pyramid and this investigation has led her back to the Moon.
You have been summoned by Eris Morn to discuss this lead as she requests your presence.

Eris is concerned about Caiatl’s failed severance and Calus’s heightened activity and influence across the Moon.

Now that you have gained enough Vestiges of Dread, it is time to head back to the Leviathan once again but this time for powerful Nightmares.
Go to the Castellum and defeat the Nightmares and contain them within the Crown of Sorrow.

Step 50: Board the Leviathan with Crow, Zavala, Caiatl, and Eris to stop Calus Before It’s Too Late
Time has run out and Calus has threatened to activate the Lunar Pyramid, making it vital to act before anything disastrous occurs.
With only one ritual remaining, you along with Crow, Zavala, and Caiatl along with Eris must storm the Leviathan and find the seat of Calus’s power to put a stop to his plans.

Step 51: Speak to Eris at the Crown of Sorrow in the H.E.L.M.
It is finally done and Calus has been pushed back, the Leviathan is now silent and the Memories have returned into the ambient psychic noise of the Pyramid.

Completing the Bound in Sorrow quest will reward you with a Figments of Darkness as well as an Umbral Engram. This also concludes the story for Season of the Haunted.
Summary
All of the Severance Rituals have successfully been done and it seems that now the link that Calus has to the Lunar Pyramid is gone.
Calus had made his appearance during the final confrontation and had finally been defeated by you and Caiatl together.
