There are currently 11 classes in MapleStory 2, each with their unique abilities as well as their own perks when used.
If you played MapleStory before you probably have the idea of what most of the classes are like just like any other game.
Each class has a specific primary attribute that it focuses on increasing when developing the character as well as use a certain weapon.
Classes are categorized in different difficulties which determine how easy or hard it is to progress during early to endgame as well as the complexity of using the character and their skills.
Classes Tier List
- S – Highest Tier
- A – High Tier
- B – Good Tier
- C – Okay Tier
Ranking
Classes have been ranked based on their ability to deal damage, survive fights and the complexity of their usage.
Some classes may be good at damage but have low survivability while others may be sturdy but unable to do damage.
Berserkers and Runebladers are capable of dealing a lot of damage as well as they have a good base health and survivability.
Assassins, Archers, Heavy Gunners and Soul Binders deal a good amount of damage but need space to survive as they cannot tank that much damage, Soul binder makes the list due to her utility as DPS and Support.
Knights are capable of taking on a lot of damage but when it comes to dealing it they are quite slow and will take longer to take down enemies while Striker and Thief may be able to deal good damage but they are hard for most users to use.
Wizards used to be a favorite due to the high elemental damage they could deal but at higher levels such as 60 – 70 their damage per second drops due to cooldowns and costs of casting their abilities while Priests remain good supports but are barely used by players aside for that purpose.
In reality there is actually no class that is the best as this mostly depends on the player’s skill and capability of using the character well and the gear of the character is more important when it comes to overall performance.
Here are the classes that are available to be chosen when creating a new character in MapleStory 2.
