Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty has been released and along with a whole new story on the side, is a new feature added to your character attributes.
This is the Relic, which is added to the list that previously included only Body, Reflexes, Technical Ability, Intelligence, and Cool.
At the beginning of the new story, you are introduced to the Relic, which holds certain abilities that can be upgraded with Relic Points.
How To Get Relic Points?
Relic Points are obtained by accessing Restricted Data Terminals and downloading the Operational Data from them, which provide you with Relic Points.
These terminals need to be interacted with and will have your character perform a short animation where they hack into the terminal.
Once you have downloaded the operation data, you will receive Relic Points that may now be assigned to certain choices under the Relic.
A total of 15 Relic Points can be obtained in the Phantom Liberty DLC, allowing you to unlock all of the perks from the Relic.
How To Find Restricted Data Terminals?
Restricted Data Terminals are often found as you explore different areas and will be marked on your map if they are nearby as well as a waypoint marking them.
These are often available as you continue with the main story or if you attempt to do activities outside of the Phantom Liberty story.
Once a Restricted Data Terminal is nearby, you can access it safely if there are no enemies around and may get the Relic Points they hold.
There are a total of 9 Restricted Data Terminals that can be found and 6 Points will be given to you as you progress through the DLC’s story.

How To Use Relic Points?
Relic Points are needed to unlock certain options under the Relic’s Attributes, which unlock new features for your character to make use of.
Each of the choices requires a certain amount of Relic Points, which consumes them once you have selected what will be unlocked.
Players can unlock every choice under Relics if they continue to find Relic Points to consume to unlock them.
Relic Point Unlocks
Once you have Relic Points, you will be able to unlock the following options that provide you with new abilities:
1) Jailbreak
Unlocks new Arm Cyberware abilities for the following weapons:
- Mantis Blades
- Gorilla Arms
- Projectile Launch System
- Monowire
2) Spatial Mapping
Leap Attacks done with the Mantis Blades will cripple enemies and increase the chance for dismemberment of affected enemies for 10 seconds.
3) Limiter Removal
Gorilla Arms can be charged to send out shockwaves that will knock down all enemies that are caught within its area of effect.
4) Launch Capacity Override
Increases the Projectile Launch System’s charges by 1, allowing you to use another one that is recharged along with the others.
5) Data Tunneling
Enemies affected by a Monowire-uploaded quickhack or normal Monowire attacks that affect other enemies will spread the quickhack to them.
6) Emergency Cloaking
Improves Optical Camo Cyberware and allows you to cloak yourself, causing enemies to lose track of you so that you can escape combat. (Requires Optical Camo equipped in quickslot)
7) Sensory Protocol
Being detected by an enemy will temporarily slow time, providing you with the option to dodge or dash out of their line of sight to exit combat.
8) Vulnerability Analytics
Provides you with the ability to detect vulnerabilities of enemy armor and Cyberware, which provides you with the following if you hit them:
- 100% Critical Chance
- 25% Increased Armor Penetration
- Weakspot Damage Bonuses
Dealing a certain amount of damage to a vulnerability will cause it to explode, which generates an EMP blast that damages enemies in a 3-meter radius.
9) Machine Learning
When an enemy’s vulnerability is destroyed, you are granted the following:
- 10% increased frequency of new vulnerabilities
- 5% increased Critical Damage against vulnerabilities
This lasts for 25 seconds and can stack 5 times, which causes these effects to be doubled when you reach the maximum number of stacks.
Verdict
The Relic is introduced when you start in the Phantom Liberty DLC, and you can unlock perks as soon as you get in touch with Songbird.
One of the best things about the Relics Perk system is that it does not have any conflict with your other perks or attributes, allowing you to unlock them as you please.
Eventually, you will be able to collect enough Relic Points to unlock all the perks you need, making your character more formidable.
