Palworld: Large Fishing Pond (How To Unlock, Build, Use, Pals and Drops)

Fishing has become a popular activity in Palworld, but this doesn’t always have to be done by your character, as Pals can also do this.

You might have already had experience with the standard Fishing Pond, but once you progress in the game even further, you can unlock the Large Fishing Pond.

As its name suggests, this is a larger structure, but you can get even more rewards, and the chance of getting different Pals makes it worth building.

How To Unlock and Build Large Fishing Pond?

After progressing to Level 55 with your character, you will be able to unlock the Large Fishing Pond from your Technology Menu.

Unlocking this structure will require that you spend 4 Technology Points, and afterward, you may craft it in from your build menu under the Production section.

Building the Fishing Pond will cost you the following resources:

  • 60 Wood
  • 20 Stone
  • 10 Plasteel
  • 20 High Quality Pal Oil

How To Use Large Fishing Pond?

Using the Large Fishing Pond is similar to its predecessor, allowing you to select from a group of Pal shadows, including the ones from the standard Fishing Pond.

Once a type of Fish Shadow has been selected (this also requires that you use Deluxe Bait), Pals that have the Handiwork (Work Suitability) will be able to work at the structure.

The Large Fishing Pond offers you the same Fish Shadows (Pal Group) that the standard Fishing Pond has, along with the addition of the Large Fish Shadows as a new option.

Similar to the standard Fishing Pond, you will be able to collect both Pals and Items from a cooler, which can be found near the steps of the structure.

This allows you to leave the fishing to your Pals and, as a result, you can claim the rewards later, which will be Pals that are caught as well as loot that has been obtained.

Pal Fishing Speed

The Fishing Speed of each Pal may vary depending on their Handiwork, and this is also affected by the type of shadow that you select.

Small and Medium Fish Shadows have a similar duration to that of the standard Fish Pond, but access to the Large Shadows is only possible from the Large Fish Pond.

Large Fish Shadows will take up more time, but the rewards that you can collect afterward are much greater, while the Pal group that can be caught will also be different.

Collecting Pals in the Large Fishing Pond

Leaving your Pals to do the fishing for you will allow you to return to the Large Fishing Pond later to collect the rewards, which include Pals.

The list of Pals that have been caught while you are away will be shown once you interact with the structure with the action labeled “Collect Pal.”

Large Fishing Pond Pals

The Pals that can be caught at a Large Fishing Pond will be similar to those of the standard Fishing Pond when you choose Small or Medium Fish Shadows.

Selecting Large Fish Shadows, though, will provide you with a chance to get different Pals from a new group of catchable Pals through fishing.

The Large Fish Shadow Pal Drop Table includes the following Pals:

Collecting Items

Similar to the standard Fishing Pond, you will be able to open the inventory of the structure when interacting with the cooler as well.

Accessing the loot obtained through fishing can also be done by interacting with the cooler next to the steps.

Large Fishing Pond Drops

Items that are obtained from the Large Fishing Pond may depend on the biome that you are in or the difficulty of the area.

Having a base in a more difficult area will provide you with better loot, and the quantity will vary depending on the Fish Shadow size that you choose.

The following are common drops from Large Fishing Ponds:

  • Ammo
  • Valuables
  • Spheres
  • Pal Materials
  • Training Manuals
  • Technical Manuals
  • Coralum Ore
  • Support Whistles
  • Medicine

Verdict

Large Fishing Ponds offer more options when it comes to obtaining Pals and items from fishing, making them a good choice once you have access to Deluxe Bait.

Utilizing multiple Large Fishing Ponds (as well as the standard Fishing Ponds) is a good way to farm several items over time and a good source of Coralum Ore.

Having condensed Pals with high Handiwork is an excellent way to make sure the fishing process is completed faster at each Large Fishing Pond.
