Destiny 2 How to Get Parallax Trajectory

Destiny 2 Parallax Trajectory

Parallax Trajectory is a Legendary material that was first introduced in the Season of the Lost, being one of the main resources you need during the season.

This resource is a requirement for when it comes to upgrading the Wayfinder’s Compass, allowing you to improve its capabilities to help you in the Shattered Realm.

There are several ways for you to obtain Parallax Trajectory and other uses aside from simply upgrading your Wayfinder’s Compass, such as making Season of the Lost gear.

Where to Get Parallax Trajectory?

Parallax Trajectory can be obtained in many ways and on any planet but one of the ways, which is collecting Ascendant Anchors, may happen on different planets.

It is possible to obtain Parallax Trajectory from defeating enemies anywhere as well as participating in different activities.

How to Get Parallax Trajectory?

1) Killing Enemies

You can obtain 3 Parallax Trajectory by chance whenever you kill an enemy, but the chance is not that great, which makes it best to kill multiple enemies for this.

2) Ascendant Anchors

Every week during the Season of the Lost, you will find Ascendant Anchors which have spawned in the same locations depending on which planet they are on.

Collecting Ascendant Anchors will yield 30 Parallax Trajectory every time you collect them, multiple Ascendant Anchors may be found.

For more information about Ascendant Anchors and their locations, check out our Ascendant Anchor Locations guide.

3) Completing Activities

Participating in activities such as Crucible, Gambit, and Strikes will reward you with around 100 Parallax Trajectory and this is considered the best way to get Parallax Trajectory.

You can gain even more Parallax Trajectory if you unlock the Astral Harvester upgrade for your Wayfinder’s Compass.

Parallax Trajectorys Use

The Parallax Trajectory that you collect is mainly used for upgrading your Wayfinder’s Compass as done when you progress with the Wayfinder’s Voyage Campaign.

You can also use Parallax Trajectory when focusing Umbral Engrams into Season of the Lost Engrams which will cost the following:

Tier I Focusing

  • 150 Parallax Trajectory (Not all require Parallax Trajectory)
  • 5 Legendary Shards
  • 1 Umbral Engram

Tier II Focusing

  • 450 Parallax Trajectory
  • 10 Legendary Shards
  • 1 Umbral Engram

Tier III Focusing

  • 600 Parallax Trajectory
  • 10 Legendary Shards
  • 1 Umbral Engram

Parallax Trajectory Carry Limit

Causing quite a disadvantage at a time, you can only carry 3000 at a time and any more that is obtained will be wasted.

The Parallax Trajectory began with a limit of 1200 and was later changed to 1500 to suit players but this was still insufficient, thus Bungie changed it to 3000.
