Destiny 2 How to Get Phantasmal Cores

Destiny 2 Phantasmal Cores

The Phantasmal Core is a legendary material that is mainly tied with the Moon, allowing players to do Essence quests.

These materials are not that easy to find though, and you will need to do specific bounties to obtain them.

You can only get a few Phantasmal Cores in a day, which makes them quite scarce and worth saving for later usage.

Where to Get Phantasmal Cores?

Since the Phantasmal Core is not a farmable resource and mostly a reward, you will be able to obtain the quests that reward them on the Moon.

The bounties for the Phantasmal Cores are obtainable from the Lectern of Enchantment, which can be found in Sanctuary on the Moon.

How to Get Phantasmal Cores?

Phantasmal Cores are rewarded by completing bounties, specifically, Nightmare Bounties and these may be obtained from the Lectern of Enchantment.

Interact with the Lectern of Enchantment and you will find a list of bounties available, the first ones are usually the ones that reward Phantasmal Cores.

Each Nightmare Bounty that rewards Phantasmal Cores will cost 5 Phantasmal Fragments while the others that do not reward it will cost Glimmer.

Additionally, instead of doing the Nightmare Bounties, you may purchase Phantasmal Cores at the Lectern of Enchantment for 20 Phantasmal Fragments a piece.

The best way to get Phantasmal Cores is to buy them with Phantasmal Fragments since they can be exchanged for Helium Filaments.

Phantasmal Cores Use

Phantasmal Cores are needed to purchase Nightmare Essences, which provide you with short quests that allow you to obtain specific rewards from the Moon.

Each Nightmare Essence will cost 1 Phantasmal Core and will reward you with a legendary piece of armor or weapon upon completion.

Most of the time you will have to perform activities, kill a certain number of enemies with a weapon type, and sometimes collect an item to complete them.

Once you have purchased a Nightmare Essence, you will get the corresponding quest right away and may start tackling the objectives.
