Destiny 2 How to Get Mod Components (2023)
Each weapon in Destiny 2 has its own perks and different play strategies and while some weapons are excellent on their own, there is something you can do to improve them.
Not only can you upgrade weapons to improve their stats, but you can also equip them with Mods, but these are not always easy to get.
While there are chances to obtain Mods in different ways, a guaranteed method of obtaining them is purchasing them with Mod Components from specific Vendors.
Where to Get Mod Components?
Mod Components may be obtained mostly when you complete specific bounties or when you are dismantling equipment.
This can be done almost anywhere and most of the acquisitions take place in your inventory tab, but there is more to it than simply checking your inventory.
How to Get Mod Components?
The most common way for you to obtain Mod Components is to head over to Banshee-44 at the Tower and get bounties from him.
You will see in the primary bounties that there are Mod Components listed under rewards except for the random bounties which do not have it listed down.
Taking all of the bounties that reward Mod Components and doing them daily or when possible is the best way to obtain Mod Components.
There is a small chance that you will receive Mod Components as well when you dismantle your gear, but the chance is not as common and it’s best to sort to the first option.

Mod Components Use
Weapons that are Legendary and below have Mod Slots which allow you to insert a Mod that you have obtained into them.
These provide you with a bonus and you may need a certain Mod for a specific weapon that you have, making it important to have a stock of Mod Components ready.
The reason you need to save up on Mods is that Vendors such as Banshee-44, Ada-1, and the War Table in the H.E.L.M. will have rotations when it comes to their wares.
If you have a stock of Mod Components, you will be able to purchase the Mods you want whenever they are available without any issues.
