ARK: How to Make Cementing Paste

ARK Cementing Paste

Cementing Paste is a resource in Ark that is high in demand almost all of the time due to it being required in crafting several items.

This item can be crafted as well as produced, allowing you to make use of different methods to obtain it in the game and on different maps.

You will eventually need a good supply of Cementing Paste for building, crafting items, and more, making it one of the most important resources in the game.

How to Make Cementing Paste?

You can learn the Cementing Paste Engram once you reach level 13, which allows you to unlock the Tree Sap Tap and Water Reservoir as well.

The most common way to get Cementing Paste is to craft it in a Mortar and Pestle, which requires 4x Chitin or Keratin and 8x stone, yielding 1 Cementing Paste.

In the Chemistry Bench, you can craft 6 Cementing Paste at the cost of 16x Chitin or Keratin and 32x Stone.

As of the Genesis updates, Shell Fragments may be used as well instead of Chitin or Keratin along with Stone to create Cementing Paste.

Cementing Paste Farming Methods

Aside from gathering a ton of Chitin or Keratin and the Stone needed to be used to craft Cementing Paste, you may make use of different methods to get this resource.

Using a Beelzebufo (Giant Frog) to kill insects (Meganeura or Titanomyrma) and harvest their corpses allows it to produce Cementing Paste for each corpse consumed.

The majority of the maps in Ark have Castoroides, which means they have the tendency to create Beaver Dams and you can access these to take Cementing Paste from them.

Beware when taking items from within a Beaver Dam (similar to accessing storage) as the Castoroides nearby will become aggressive and chase after you.

As an alternative, you may use Achatina Paste to substitute Cementing Paste and this resource comes from an Achatina (Large Snail) which will produce them when tamed.

Verdict

Most players tend to look for easier ways to obtain Cementing Paste and would prefer to build near Beaver Dams, areas to farm Chitin or Keratin, or places to tame Achatina.

Figuring out where you will obtain your source for Cementing Paste can be a vital move when it comes to the late game phase.

While there are multiple sources, sticking to one is not necessary and you can combine methods to maximize your Cementing Paste acquisition.
