Haunted Sectors are a type of activity that becomes available during the Festival of the Lost Event and in 2025, they have once again emerged.
These activities allow you to obtain several rewards that are exclusively available during the duration of the event.
Hunting down the Headless Ones and defeating a final boss at the end of these Halloween-themed Lost Sectors become your main task, which results in you getting a reward at the end.
How To Start Haunted Sectors?
Haunted Sectors will be available during the Festival of the Lost, and you can start these from The Last City, where there is a holographic image of a tree that you can interact with.
Another way, which also allows you to choose Expert Haunted Sectors rather than the standard difficulty would be to view The Last City map.
Haunted Sector Mechanics
Once a Haunted Sector activity has begun, you will need to explore the area until summoning Headless Ones becomes available.
This will cause areas that are marked with the letters A, B, or C to appear, which require you to stand in them while fighting back against enemies.
A Headless One will appear after you have been in the marked area until the summoning ritual has been completed.
Defeating Headless Ones will provide you with Candy and other rewards, but this isn’t it, a boss will appear once enough of them have been defeated.
A final boss appears after you have defeated the Headless Ones and you will be able to damage them to a certain extent.
Upon having their health reduced, the boss will become immune to damage and more summoning circles will appear.
Summon a Headless One to obtain Pumpkin Charges after defeating them, which may be used to make the boss vulnerable again.
Defeat the boss and a reward chest will appear afterward, which will provide you with loot as a reward for completing the activity.
Haunted Lost Sector Rewards
Defeating Headless Ones as well as the boss will provide you with a lot of Candy, while the chest that is open at the end provides you with not only Candy but other rewards too.
The chest at the end of a Haunted Sector will often have the following rewards:
- Legendary Gear
- Strange Coin
- Festival Mask
- Manifested Page
- Glimmer
Completing Expert Haunted Sectors will be more difficult to do but these yield more rewards for your efforts.
