The Umbral Set Mods focus on improving your Warframes Health, Armor, and Ability Strength with the addition of Tau Resistance, protecting you against Sentients.
These mods are more efficient when equipped together, increasing the stats of all other Umbral Mods that are also equipped in your Warframe.
How To Get Umbral Mods?
Umbral Mods can be obtained as you complete a quest called The Sacrifice, which also allows you to get Sacrificial Mods, Excalibur Umbra, and more.
These mods are guaranteed to be acquired by the time you complete The Sacrifice and will already be equipped and maxed out on your Excalibur Umbra.
What is Tau Resistance?
Tau Damage is a unique kind of damage without any modifier against health or shields and is dealt with by Sentient enemies.
Increasing your Tau Resistance will reduce the amount of damage that Sentients can do to you, thus improving your survivability when facing them.

Umbral Set Mods
1) Umbral Fiber Mod
Umbral Fiber increases the amount of Armor that your Warframe has by a large percentage, which begins at 10% and reaches up to 110% at max rank.
Additionally, you gain Tau Resistance which starts from 1% and reaches up to 11% when Umbral Fiber is maxed out.
This is perfect for combining with the other Umbral Mods, especially when you have a Warframe with moderate or high base armor.

2) Umbral Intensify Mod
Umbral Intensify is the Umbral variant of the Intensify Mod, providing a higher amount of ability strength with the addition of Tau Resistance.
Ability Strength provided starts from 4% and reaches a maximum of 44% when the mod is maxed out while Tau Resistance starts from 1% and reaches 11% at max.
Using the Umbral Intensify mod greatly increases your Ability Strength and the Tau Resistance adds more to your defense against Sentients.

3) Umbral Vitality Mod
Umbra Vitality is the Umbra variant of the Vitality Mod, which sports a higher amount of health and an additional Tau Resistance.
Health from this mod begins at 40% which can reach up to 440% when it has been fully maxed out along with Tau Resistance starting from 1% which reaches 11% at max.
The additional health provided by Umbral Vitality can improve the survivability of your Warframe, allowing it to withstand more damage and take less from Sentients.

Umbral Mod Set Bonus
Having more than one Umbral Mod equipped in a Warframe will further increase the stats of the other Umbral Mods.
With 2 Umbral Mods equipped, both will become rank 2 while having 3 will cause them to become rank 3, improving the stats for all Umbral Mods.

Umbral Fiber will have increased stats based on having 2 or 3 Umbral Mods slotted with it.
