Moonflesh is a resource introduced with Epoch Operation: Taubound that players can collect by completing missions and defeating Infested enemies on Eris.
The resource is needed to help Praghasa prepare for the journey to Tau, with players contributing to Moonflesh throughout the limited-time Operation.
Collected Moonflesh can also be exchanged for various rewards from Praghasa, making it worth farming before the event ends on November 17, 2026.
Where to Get Moonflesh?
Moonflesh can be obtained from missions on Eris during Epoch Operation: Taubound, with the event temporarily granting access to players who have completed Vor’s Prize.
Regular missions provide Moonflesh upon completion, while Infested enemies found throughout Eris also have a chance to drop additional amounts when defeated.
Almost every Infested enemy can drop Moonflesh, with Maggots being the exception, so players do not need to hunt a particular enemy type.
How to Get Moonflesh?
Defeating Infested enemies on Eris can reward 2 Moonflesh per drop on Normal difficulty or 3 Moonflesh when playing on Steel Path.
Players can also complete rotating Operation Alerts, which provide 50 Moonflesh on Normal difficulty or 75 Moonflesh on Steel Path upon completion.
These Alerts contain Infested enemies that can drop additional Moonflesh, allowing players to earn more than the guaranteed completion reward.
Moonflesh Uses
Moonflesh is used as currency when interacting with Praghasa, the Sentient Mothership that can be accessed through a special node on Eris.
Players can provide their collected Moonflesh to Praghasa in exchange for rewards, including the Haalvu weapon, Arcanes, Tauforged Archon Shards, and a Legendary Core.
Additional offerings include cosmetic items such as Armor pieces, Syandanas, and other event rewards that can be purchased using accumulated Moonflesh.
Tips for Farming Moonflesh
Completing Operation Alerts whenever they appear is one of the better ways to farm Moonflesh, especially since their completion rewards are guaranteed.
Between Alerts, players can farm Infested enemies in endless missions such as Zabala (Survival) or Akkad (Defense), where enemies continue spawning throughout the mission.
Steel Path provides more Moonflesh per enemy drop and larger Alert rewards, although Normal difficulty may be preferable if tougher enemies slow down farming.
Moonflesh pickups are shared between squad members, meaning everyone receives the resource when one player collects it, making farming with others more convenient.
Resource Boosters do not increase Moonflesh rewards because it is classified as an Operation currency, so bringing equipment that clears enemies quickly is generally more useful.
Verdict
Moonflesh can be collected through regular Eris missions, but completing Operation Alerts is generally the faster option because of their guaranteed rewards.
Farming Infested enemies between Alerts provides additional Moonflesh, especially when playing endless missions or taking advantage of the increased Steel Path rewards.
Since Epoch Operation: Taubound will not return after November 17, players should collect enough Moonflesh to purchase their desired rewards before the event concludes.
