Following the recent Hive attacks that have occurred, the Vanguard has set up a new plan for figuring out their plans to prepare the proper response for future ones.
It is through the combined efforts of the Vanguard and Empress Caiatl, that a way to enter the minds of the Hive has been discovered but not everyone thinks this is the right way.
During Operation Elbrus, the Guardian must continue to collect intel and assist Saladin in discovering what the Hive is planning to do using the new Psisorium.
How To Get Operation Elbrus Quest?
The Operation Elbrus quest first came out during the Season of the Risen and is still available for players to obtain by accessing it from the War Table in the H.E.L.M.

Operation Elbrus week 1 Quest Steps
Step 1: Gain Psychogenic Intel to Learn about the Lucent Hive’s Plans
Lord Saladin needs more intel on the Lucent Hive’s attack plans to prepare for the proper response to the situation at hand.
Starting in the quest will require that you obtain Psychogenic Intel which can be gathered by completing “The Witch Queen” campaign missions in the Throne World.
You may also obtain Psychogenic Intel by participating in public events, Strikes, Crucible, Gambit, and other similar activities.

Step 2: Enter a PsiOps Battleground, Secure the Hive Lieutenant, and Decode the Runic Chest.
The Lucent Hive is still guarding its secrets and you will need to manifest a Runic Chest to decode it to claim the secrets within.
You will need to enter a PsiOps Battleground mission by selecting it from the H.E.L.M Destinations tab.

Step 3: Claim the Week 1 Seasonal Challenge “Psychogenic Decoder” to Earn Insight
The War Table is now ready to be upgraded and you may obtain Insight into this by claiming the Seasonal Challenge called “Psychogenic Decoder” which is now complete.
The Seasonal Challenges from Season of the Risen are still available to be completed and will provide you with Insight for upgrading the War Table.

Step 4: Access War Table Upgrade on The War Table
Now that the War Table can be upgraded after you have acquired Insight, it is time to pick one of the upgrades to spend it on.
You will need to access the War Table and choose one of the upgrades which will consume the Insight that you have obtained from the Seasonal Challenge.

Step 5: Check the War Table for an Incoming Transmission
A transmission for you is waiting and you will need to head over to the War Table to receive it and get your next tasks for Operation Elbrus.

Step 6: Debrief with Saladin at the War Table in the H.E.L.M.
Lord Saladin would like to update you on the current progress that the Psion is making with the Lucent Hive, and you will need to contact him at the War Table.

Step 7: End of Week 1
While the mind of the Lucent Hive is still being accessed by the Psion, this can take time and Saladin will further contact you once progress is made.
This serves as the end of Operation Elbrus week 1.

Step 8: Lord Saladin Has an Update for You, Visit the War Table in the H.E.L.M.
After some time, the Psion has accessed secrets that have been hidden in the mind of the Hive Lieutenant.
Lord Saladin has prepared an update for you and will need to speak with you through the War Table for briefing.

Step 9: Enter PsiOps Battleground: Cosmodrome and Secure the Lucent Hive Lieutenant
The Cosmodrome is being invaded by the Lucent Hive and you will need to intervene as well as secure the Hive Lieutenant for transportation to the Psisorium.

Step 10: Visit the Psisorium
Meet up with Saladin and Crow, who will be at the Psisorium discussing mercy as Crow believes what they are doing is not right.
The Psisorium will be located down a set of stairs located at the back of the H.E.L.M.

Step 11: Gain Psychogenic Intel to Learn More About the Lucent Hive’s Plans
To continue learning about where the Lucent Hive plans on striking next, you will need to collect more Psychogenic Intel.

Step 12: Enter a PsiOps Battleground, Secure the Hive Lieutenant, and Decode the Runic Chest.
Once again you will need to figure out what secrets the Lucent Hive are hiding and this requires that you decode another Runic Chest within a PsiOps Battleground mission.

Step 13: Debrief with Saladin at the War Table in the H.E.L.M.
After the previous encounter Lord Saladin had with Crow which did not end well, he wishes to speak with you regarding their discussion.

Further uncovering of the contents of the Lucent Hive’s mind is still underway and this will require more time to figure out what steps need to be taken next.

Step 15: Lord Saladin Has an Update for You, Visit the War Table in the H.E.L.M.
More information has been revealed and Lord Saladin now has another briefing for you about the future threats that you will come to face.

Step 16: Enter a PsiOps Battleground and find and Eliminate a Lighthoarder
New intel suggests that the Lucent Hive Lighthoarders are appearing in the PsiOps Battlegrounds and you will need to destroy the Lucent Beacons to defeat them.
You will need to enter a PsiOps Battleground and locate the Lighthoarder dispatched there.

Step 17: Gain Psychogenic Intel to Learn More About the Lucent Hive’s Plans
The Lucent Hive will continue to strike and to figure out where it will happen, you will need to collect Psychogenic Intel.

Step 18: Enter a PsiOps Battleground, Secure the Hive Lieutenant, and Decode the Runic Chest.
More of the Lucent Hive secrets are hidden and to uncover them once again, you will need to decode another Runic Chest in a PsiOps Battleground.

Step 19: Debrief with Saladin at the War Table in the H.E.L.M.
Lord Saladin will need to speak with you once more regarding his experience with the Psion’s Mindscape which he was able to witness firsthand.

The Psion continues to search the minds of the Hive Lieutenants that you have captured and will soon be able to discover more.
Lord Saladin will contact you once more is learned about the Lucent Hive’s intentions.

Operation Elbrus week 4 Quest Steps
Step 21: Brief with Lord Saladin at the War Table in the H.E.L.M.
The Psion has relayed information that was taken from the Lucent Hive to Lord Saladin, who now wishes to speak with you urgently.
Go see what Lord Saladin wishes to tell you by visiting the War Table to discuss with him.

Step 22: Enter PsiOps Battleground: Moon, Disrupt the Ritual and Subdue the Lucent Hive Lieutenant
The Lucent Hive is attempting to manifest Savathun’s throne world on the Moon and you will need to prevent this.
You will need to go to their location and disrupt the ritual at the Scarlet Keep to stop them from pulling through with their plans.

Step 23: Meet with Lord Saladin in the Psisorium
After you completed the last mission at the Scarlet Keep, Lord Saladin now wishes to discuss what has happened by meeting in the Psisorium.

Step 24: Gather Psychogenic Intel While Waiting for Caiatl’s Arrival
After some unfortunate events have occurred in the Psisorium, the mission still comes first, and you will need to continue collecting Psychogenic Data.
Collecting the Psychogenic Data will help confirm if you have successfully stopped the Lucent Hive ritual.

Step 25: Enter a PsiOps Battleground and Decode the Runic Chest.
The Lucent Hive’s defeat must be total and to ensure this, you must manifest another Runic Chest and decode it to unveil its secrets once more.

Step 26: Meet With Empress Caiatl at the Tower
After Crow had accidentally killed the Psion in the Psisorium, justice will need to be done and you will need to attend the meeting Between Empress Caiatl and the Vanguard.
Head over to the Tower and witness what justice will be dealt for Crow’s actions.

Step 27: Listen to Lord Saladin’s Message at the War Table in the H.E.L.M.
After Lord Saladin has given himself to take place for the Crow’s actions, he has left a message for you before leaving.
Make your way to the H.E.L.M. and interact with the War Table to hear it.

Step 28: Listen to Commander Zavala’s Message at the War Table in the H.E.L.M.
Commander Zavala wishes to speak with you to bring clarity on the situation as well as Lord Saladin’s decision to join the Cabal.
Go to the War Table and hear what Zavala has to say.
This concludes the Operation Elbrus quest.
Operation Elbrus Quest Rewards
Through the course of Operation Elbrus, you will unlock insight which is used to upgrade the table to provide better rewards.
Completing the Operation Elbrus quest will allow you to claim the Sweet Sorrow Legendary Auto Rifle. All the PsiOps Battleground missions will still be accessible for you to participate in even after this quest has been completed.
Should you require the Synaptic Spear again, it can be reacquired for harvesting Psychogenic Data.
Summary
The plans on using the Psisorium to infiltrate the minds of the Lucent Hive may be a good idea for some but not everyone seemed to like this plan.
Due to Crow accidentally killing the Psion, Lord Saladin offered to take his place for punishment but seeing that this was a brave act, Caiatl instead condemned to serve on her War Council.
Lord Saladin’s life is spared and he will be now known as Bracus Forge, which also ensures a good alliance with the Cabal.
