Ark Tapejara (How to Tame, Controls, Food, Location…)

Ark Tapejara

The Tapejara Imperator is a carnivorous yet skittish flying creature that was seen around the Cretaceous time period.

Having an appearance similar to the Pteranodon except for a body shaped more for maneuvering while airborne, this flyer is a favorite of many flying creature riders.

The Tapejara can be seen flying around and is known to never be seen again when it flees due to its skittish behavior which causes it to fly off at high altitudes and at a quick pace.

Tapejara are very alert and will immediately fly the area if a survivor or a tamed creature approaches them as any sign of danger will cause them to have a knack to run away.

Once successfully tamed, a Tapejara becomes a very versatile flyer and can even be equipped with a tech saddle, allowing it to be used for assaults and raiding.

Dossier

Dossier Summary

The Tapejara is a unique flyer, being able to maneuver much better than other flyers due to the rudder that extends along its head, allowing it to fully turn in midair with ease.

Given the Tapejara’s large fin on its head, it is capable of controlling the way that it flies, giving it the ability to fly forward, backwards and even strafe in mid air.

Tribes would utilize the Tapejara for the ability to carry an extra passenger which can attack from its back as well as the Tapejara’s ability to cling to surfaces, allowing its pilot to use weapons as well.

Overview

The Tapejara is indeed one of the most amazing flying creatures that have been seen on the Ark and has been a favorite of several riders who love to take to the skies.

What the Tapejara lacks in tenacity, it makes up with speed and utility, being able to be used in several ways and later on in advanced warefrare.

Tribes mainly utilize the Tapejara for scouting and later on for assaulting enemies with the use of a Tek Saddle, allowing it to bombard enemies on land and in the air with deadly shots.
