On Nightmare's Wings mhw optional quest

  • Quest Type: Optional Quest
  • Quest Location: Rotten Vale
  • Quest Rank: 4

The Armory is in need of materials for crafting new tools that you may use with your hunt but do not have the means to obtaining them.

In order for the The Armory to provide you with new tools to use, they need your help collecting materials from a few Raphinos in the Rotten Vale.

Your task for this quest is to head to the Rotten Vale and kill enough Raphinos to provide The Armory for the necessary resources they need to use.

Quest Info

  • Quest Type: Slaying Quest
  • Objective: Slay 5 Raphinos
  • Quest Giver: The Armory (Quest Board)

Other Monsters:

  • Hornetaur
  • Girros

In order to start closer to where the Raphinos are located, it would be a good idea to spawn in Central Camp (11) as it is deeper into the Rotten Vale.

Raphinos will be in Sector 6, 7 and 9, which will provide you with enough kills once you hunt them in each sector.

Go to the sectors and kill the Raphinos until you meet the quota and the mission will be finished.

Quest Rewards

After killing the required amount of Raphinos, you will receiver 2,520 Zenny for completing the On Nightmare’s Wings quest.

  • Raphinos can be quite annoying since they are flying monster but you can easily knock them down with your Slinger to finish of with your melee weapons or kill them with the Slinger ammo itself.
  • Using a ranged weapon for this quest can save a lot of time as you will easily be able to kill the small monsters.
  • During the quest, you may come across other monsters such as Girros which you may need to take out while focusing on the Raphinos.
