With the arrival of the Wolfsbane Exotic Axe in Destiny 2, Guardians are eager to unlock its catalysts and intrinsics to enhance its full potential.
By Shaping or Reshaping the weapon, players can customize its performance and tailor its catalysts to better suit their preferred combat style and build.
Each catalyst can be obtained in a specific way, and we’ve put together this guide to show you how to unlock them all.
Where To Get Wolfsbane?
Wolfsbane became available in early October with the release of the Heliostat Exotic Mission, which can be launched from Pinnacle Ops under Portal Activities.
Completing the Heliostat mission rewards you with the Wolfsbane Exotic Axe, which drops at the end as part of the completion rewards.
Obtaining Wolfsbane for the first time allows you to extract its pattern through Deepsight Resonance, enabling you to Shape and Reshape it later at the Enclave.
How To Get All Wolfsbane Catalysts?
1) Attrition Orbs Refit
The Attrition Orbs Refit provides Guardians with a way to generate Orbs of Power by dealing sustained damage using Wolfsbane during combat.
This catalyst can be unlocked early in the Heliostat mission by locating a hidden datapad and inserting it into a nearby console to trigger dialogue.
You’ll find the datapad shortly after passing the first radiation device, where you first learn how to summon Psions to help shield you from the radiation.

2) Relentless Strikes Refit
The Relentless Strikes Refit modifies Wolfsbane to grant Sword Ammo after landing three light attacks in quick succession, promoting aggressive and sustained close-range combat.
You can get the Relentless Strikes Refit by hacking the terminals at the bottom of the elevator during the Heliostat Exotic Mission.
This will allow you to head to certain floors, which is where a Datapad and terminal can be found on separate floors inside previously closed rooms.

3) Burning Ambition Refit
The Burning Ambition Refit empowers Wolfsbane to scorch targets with sustained damage while inflicting additional scorch effects on enemies already burning from previous attacks.
Obtaining the Burning Ambition Refit requires that you interact with terminals located around the Gravlift control center, which need to be interacted with.
This opens a trapdoor in the central structure, where you can bring a Datapad to insert, which is found on top of the structure under a walkway.

4) Subroutine: ~Recursion
This catalyst enhances Wolfsbane by granting increased healing from Quicksilver nanites based on Nano-Assault stacks while occasionally spawning new nanites when taking damage.
You can unlock the Subroutine: ~Recursion Refit by finding a datapad in a small opening on the platform at the left side (Jumping Puzzle) above the central area opposite the portal.
Heading to the right side of the Jumping Puzzle will allow you to find the terminal where it needs to be inserted in a room opposite to where the portal is found.

Unlocking Catalysts
While unlocking the catalysts requires different tasks, keep in mind that there will always be a Datapad that needs to be brought to a terminal.
Once a Datapad has been brought to a terminal, you will still need to complete the Heliostat Exotic Mission, where the catalysts will be part of the rewards.
How To Equip Wolfsbane Catalysts?
Head to the Enclave and approach the Relic, where you can modify or create your Wolfsbane weapon, which is located on Savathun’s Throne World.
Choose Shape to craft a new Wolfsbane or Reshape to modify one you already own with your preferred upgrades.
Select the desired Catalyst Refit from the available options and finalize the weapon to apply your chosen enhancement permanently.

Wolfsbane is already a powerful Exotic weapon on its own, with its Nano-Assault trait providing impressive offensive and survivability potential in battle.
