With the release of the new Wolfsbane Exotic Axe, many players are eager to obtain all of its intrinsic upgrades and catalysts to unlock the weapon’s full potential.
The first catalyst available for this Exotic Axe is the Attrition Orbs Refit, a solid choice for Guardians who rely on consistent Orbs of Power generation.
Just like how Wolfsbane is earned, this catalyst can be obtained through the same Exotic Mission, Heliostat, by completing a specific hidden objective within the run.
Attrition Orbs Effects
Once the Attrition Orbs Refit has been equipped, dealing sustained damage with Wolfsbane will create an orb of power.
This makes it easy for you to generate Orbs of Power from time to time and can be a great addition to any other ways you have to generate them.
Continuous damage from Attrition Orbs includes multiple blows as well as damage over time, making this effective for Wolfsbane.
How To Get Attrition Orbs Catalyst?
Start the Heliostat Exotic Mission on Master Difficulty and make your way to the entrance as you normally would by fighting your way past the combatants.
Summon the Radiation Shielding Psion to get past the first device that spreads radiation in the area and continue making your way to the next one.
As you continue, you will encounter another device that spreads radiation, and usually, you would continue and rush to summon another Psion.
Instead, take a quick turn to your right once you pass by the doors, and look behind the barrels, and you will notice a datapad on the ground.
Grab the datapad once you are protected by the Psion from the radiation, or make a quick run for it before moving forward.
Don’t leave the area just yet, though, because there is a console nearby that you will need to interact with, and this can be found near the Psion near you.
A console can be found, and if you approach it, you will have the option to insert the datapad that you have just found, and this also starts some dialogue during the mission.
Once this has been done, go ahead and complete the run, and afterward, you will have unlocked the Attrition Orbs Catalyst. (You can equip it when Shaping or Reshaping Wolfsbane)
Verdict
While Attrition Orbs may not have the flashiest effect, they remain a valuable option for several builds that focus on ability and Super regeneration.
Generating Orbs of Power through sustained damage can complement other orb-creating methods, resulting in smoother synergy across your loadout and subclass setup.
As of this weapon’s release, the other Wolfsbane catalysts remain time-gated, making Attrition Orbs the first and only one currently available to acquire
