The arrival of the Techrot Encore Update has added a lot of new features to Warframe but aside from everything new, some improvements have been made as well.
This is to help both new and old players with progression and to make sure that everyone’s experience is enjoyable with the game.
To keep you up with the latest changes, we have gathered the recent notable changes that were made following the Techrot Encore Update.
New Player Experience Improvements
Star Chart Changes
- Earth, Venus, and Mars Star Chart paths improved to reach the Second Dream Quest faster
- Cetus, Earth no longer needs to be traveled through to reach Mars Junction
- The path from Earth to Mercury reduced to 3 nodes
- Fossa, Venus (Assassination has been moved into the required path for Mercury Junction
- Path from Earth to Deimos reduced to 3 nodes
- You may now choose to return to your Orbiter or head back to Cetus when choosing to abort during Saya’s Vision missions
- Featured Dojo icons have been updated to show their place that they have won in Dojo Showcase
- Updated hand position of Warframe/Drifter/Operator when selecting a planet in Star Chart
Quest Changes
- Codex will now show the image of the next Quest available
- The Archwing Quest Junction moved from Mars Junction to Saturn Junction
- Ceres and Europa Junctions removed from Natah Quest requirements
- Saya’s Vigil Quest has been changed from a Main Quest to a Side Quest as players can reach Mars Junction without going to Cetus
- The New War Quest no longer requires owning a Necramech and players will be lent one during the quest
- Bo or Skana that is obtained during the Awakening Quest will now come with a Stance Mod pre-installed
- Improved visuals for the Awakening Quest
- Duviri Paradox Quest is now replayable
- The Hex Quest is now replayable
- Kahl-175 is now immune to Tau status Effects during The New War Quest
- Resolution of Duviri Paradox Quest image improved in Codex
Junction Bosses
- Earth – Mars Junction Boss (Loki) base health doubled
- Venus – Mercury Junction Boss (Rhino base armor, ranged damage, melee damage and accuracy have been increased
- Mars – Phobos Junction Boss (Mag) fires Kunai faster
- Mars – Ceres Junction Boss (Trinity) base health has been increased
Warframe Changes
- Rhino crafting time has been changed from 72 to 24 hours
- Khora’s spikes Auxiliary attachment can now be color-customized
- Increased the size of Titania’s flight Capsule while in Razorwing to prevent her from escaping the map
Mods
- Mod Quick Select Tool has been added to allow you to select multiple unranked mods in your inventory to easily clean up duplicate mods
- Tooltip has been added for Capacity Sources when upgrading to teach players about Capacity and how it can be increased
- Pop-up will now appear when equipping a mod to explain about Mods, Catalysts/Reactors, Ranks, and Forma
- Base Capacity on Unranked items has been increased from 0 to 15
- Riven Slot capacity increased by 30
- Aura Forma is now compatible with all Mod slots
Arsenal
- New feature for Arsenal that shows an icon that will direct you to your new items to find the new gear that you obtain
Railjack
- Railjack component crafting costs in The Rising Tide Quest have been altered to remove components that are not found easily on the Star Chart’s main path
Mastery Rank
- Legendary 5 Mastery Rank Test is now available
Hollvania/Warframe 1999
- Added 18 new tiles for Hollvania tileset
- Added 153 new Hollvania themed Dojo Decorations
- Hollvania Bounty Ui now indicates if/when Chemistry is available with Photoframes
- Multiple Hell-Scrubbers may now be infected at the same time
- The Photoframe that you are dating will now appear in different areas of your backroom
- Scaldra units may now use terminals in Scaldra Exterminate and Scaldra Hell-Scrub missions to summon paratrooper squadrons
- Active 1999 Calendar challenges will popup at the start of Hollvania missions
- POM-2 Calendar “To Do List Completed” message during Autumn to be about New Years Eve with “Another year comes to a close”
- Techrot Miasmites and Gallifex units will cause Heat damage to burn nearby enemies when they die
Companions/Summoned Units
- Ancient Protector Overguard reduced from 20 seconds to 15 seconds
- Overguard now decays 3 seconds after the Ancient Protector has died if duration is longer than 3 seconds
- Beast Companions and targets Mind Controlled by Nyx now ignore most invulnerable enemies
Vehicles
- Atomicycle customizations now show in missions that are not in Hollvania
- Atomicycle responsiveness and drifting maneuvers have been improved
- Blink Pads and Hacking Consoles are now accessible while on a K-Drive
Matchmaking
- Random Squads will now be disbanded after missions
Combat
- Players now parry Status Effects when parrying Melee Attacks
- Tau Damage tooltip updated to be more accurate, which reads “Tau increases Status Chance of all subsequent attacks by up to 100% with multiple stacks”
- Grineer Ballista accuracy improved and no longer fire while moving
- Magnetic Status tooltip updated regarding bonus damage to Overguard
- Volatile Parasite, Acidic Spittle, and Endoparasitic Vector casting animation lengths reduced
Missions
- Defense missions total waves for rotation have been changed from 5 to 3
- Enemy and Eximus units increased near the end of mission
- Enemy density improved in Netracells to have high spawn rates during the “Reduce Security Level” objective
- Distance and angle for opening Lockers have been increased
- Venus Corpus Outpost tileset Skybox has been updated
- Kuva Liches and Sisters of Parvos no longer spawn near or above Extraction areas
Inventory
- Added a cap of 999 each on the number of inventory slots or finished items you may purchase from the Market
Locations
- We All Lift Together cinematic can be triggered in post-Narmer Fortuna by interacting with machine near Ruud Zuud
- Crimson Branch Dojo Room’s description changed to say “Adversary” instead of “Kuva Lich”
Verdict
As Warframe continues to get new updates, we don’t only get new stories to go with or Warframes and weapons to use, there are also several fixes.
