The Airlock is a new accessible location within Fortuna on Venus, introduced with The Vallis Undermind update, serving as the main hub for newly added content.
This area is home to Nightcap, a unique NPC who operates a syndicate offering exclusive wares, special bounties, and a wide selection of rewards for purchase.
To reach The Airlock, you must first travel to Fortuna on Venus, where you can either walk to the location or use the Fast Travel option for convenience.
What is in The Airlock?
Nightcap
Nightcap serves as the primary NPC for The Vallis Undermind update, offering access to unique wares and nursery items that can be purchased using Fergolyte.
You can also use the Field Guide through Nightcap to analyze Mushrooms collected from Deepmines Bounties, which helps increase your Nightcap Rank and unlocks more rewards.
Additionally, Nightcap provides direct access to Deepmines Bounties themselves, allowing you to earn various valuable items and resources introduced in the update.

The Prince
The Prince is an NPC found within The Airlock who plays an important role in revealing the deeper lore and origins connected to Nokko’s story.
Nokko was introduced in The Vallis Undermind update, and players can learn more about his past and significance by interacting directly with The Prince.
Before viewing the lore stems offered by The Prince, you must first feed it with Fergolyte, which unlocks access to different parts of Nokko’s story.

How To Get To The Airlock?
Travel To the Airlock in Fortuna
To reach The Airlock, you must first travel to Fortuna on Venus, where the entrance can be found deep within the main hub area.
Once inside Fortuna, head toward the far end of the map, moving in the opposite direction of the Orb Vallis exit to find the hidden access point.
At the very end on the right-hand side, you will notice a large vent structure, and interacting with it will transport you directly into The Airlock.
Fast Travel in Fortuna
If you prefer not to walk all the way to The Airlock, you can use the fast travel feature in Fortuna to instantly reach your destination.
Open your main menu and select the Fast Travel option, where you will see Nightcap listed at the very bottom of the available NPCs.
Selecting Nightcap will immediately transport you into The Airlock, where their menu will automatically open, allowing you to access wares, bounties, the Field Guide, and more.
Verdict
The Airlock is an easy location to access in Fortuna, especially since you can conveniently fast travel directly to Nightcap without needing to explore the entire area.
If you wish to leave The Airlock, you can simply choose to exit Fortuna through your main menu or manually walk toward the designated exit point.
The exit from The Airlock can be found in the corner beneath the staircase, located near the large mushroom specimen that is displayed within the area.
