Warframe: How To Get Fergolyte & Its Uses

Fergolyte is a new resource and currency introduced in The Vallis Undermind update, designed to support the latest activities and progression systems in Warframe.

This valuable material serves two main purposes within the update, allowing players to either purchase exclusive rewards or unlock hidden lore through specific NPC interactions.

This guide covers everything you need to know about getting Fergolyte in Warframe, as well as its sources, uses, farming tips, and how it ties into The Vallis Undermind update.

Where To Get Fergolyte?

Fergolyte is only obtainable in the Deepmines Bounties that you may access from Nightcap, who can be found in The Airlock.

These are obtained as rewards mainly during the bounties, but may also be obtained by composting Mushrooms that you no longer need. (Done in the Field Guide)

How To Get Fergolyte?

There are two main ways for you to get your hands on Fergolyte, which are to either do Deepmines Bounties or to compost mushrooms, both doable from The Airlock.

1) Deepmines Bounties

Completing Deepmines Bounties will provide you with Fergolyte in certain amounts as part of the Common Rewards.

Depending on the Objectives you complete, certain rewards will be obtained from a drop table based on the difficulty of the bounties you choose to run.

2) Composting Mushrooms

Once you have fully analyzed a species of Mushroom, it will no longer require additional amounts and can instead be converted using the Compost feature.

This turns extra specimens of a Mushroom into Fergolyte, giving you a way to spend those that you don’t need into the currency. (Make sure you won’t need any for crafting)

Best Fergolyte Farming Methods

The best way to efficiently farm Fergolyte is by using a Warframe that can quickly complete Deepmines Bounty objectives to maximize rewards and minimize downtime.

Joining a squad or using matchmaking can help you finish objectives faster, though it also increases enemy spawns, which should not pose much difficulty.

Players capable of completing the Steel Path version of Deepmines Bounties can earn more Fergolyte per run, but the enemies and challenges will be significantly harder.

Fergolyte Uses

Purchasing Wares From Nightcap

Fergolyte is mainly used as a currency when purchasing wares from Nightcap, which includes items from the Browse Wares and Browse Nursery Section.

As your Nightcap Rank increases by completing the analysis of the different Mushroom Specimens, more items will be available for purchase.

Feeding The Prince

The Prince is an NPC found within The Airlock near Nightcap, which serves as a way for you to discover more lore about Nokko and what transpired in the Deepmines.

Fergolyte must be fed to The Prince to unlock different Stem Paths that reveal the memories of both Nokko and Nightcap as you explore as a Sprodling.

Verdict

Fergolyte is often required in large quantities because of its multiple uses, primarily for purchasing items from Nightcap or feeding The Prince to unlock lore.

The most efficient way to progress with both Nightcap and The Prince is to focus on farming Deepmines Bounties and analyzing Mushrooms to increase your rank.

Once you have fully ranked up with Nightcap and unlocked all available paths with The Prince, you can freely spend your remaining Fergolyte on rewards from Nightcap.
