Palworld: Disposable Implants (How to Get & Use Them)

Passive Skills can completely change how useful a Pal becomes, but getting the exact ones you want through capturing and breeding can take time.

Disposable Implants provide another option, allowing you to give a Pal certain powerful Passive Skills without having to rely entirely on breeding or random rolls.

Getting these items requires Ancient Relics and the Ancient Relic Recycler, making Disposable Implants something you will mainly start collecting during the endgame.

What Are Disposable Implants in Palworld?

Disposable Implants are special items that allow you to apply a specific Passive Skill to one of your Pals through the Pal Surgery Table.

Each Disposable Implant corresponds to a particular passive, including powerful options for combat, movement, working, survivability, and other specialized Pal builds.

Unlike regular Implants, these versions are consumed after being used, so you will need another copy if you want the passive on another Pal.

How to Get Disposable Implants in Palworld?

Disposable Implants can be obtained as random rewards by processing Ancient Relics with the Ancient Relic Recycler, which becomes available at Technology Level 74.

Ancient Relics come in several rarities, and you can obtain them through activities around the World Tree including Pals, treasure chests, fishing, and Expeditions.

Place the Ancient Relics into your Recycler and have a suitable Pal operate it, giving you a chance to receive Disposable Implants alongside other valuable rewards.

Higher-quality Ancient Relics provide better reward opportunities, while Glistening Ancient Relics are particularly important if you are hunting the rare Mutation-exclusive Disposable Implants.

Ancient Relic Types

There are five different Ancient Relic rarities that you can obtain around the World Tree, with higher tiers providing increasingly valuable Recycler rewards.

These are Decayed Ancient Relics, Dormant Ancient Relics, Gorgeous Ancient Relics, Glowing Ancient Relics, and Glistening Ancient Relics in ascending order.

We recommend saving and processing every Ancient Relic you obtain, since even lower tiers can provide useful rewards and chances at several Disposable Implants.

All Disposable Implants

There are several Disposable Implants obtainable from the Ancient Relic Recycler, with each one permanently applying its corresponding Passive Skill when successfully used.

The following list covers the obtainable Disposable Implants and what their Passive Skills provide, making it easier to decide which ones are worth keeping.

How to Get Mutation Disposable Implants?

Babysitter, Heavily Armored, Idiosyncratic, Immortality, and Sky Strider belong to the Mutation Passive Skill pool and are much harder to obtain normally.

These special Disposable Implants can appear when processing Glistening Ancient Relics, giving you another way to obtain their passives without hunting Mutated Eggs.

Since Glistening Ancient Relics are the highest relic tier, we recommend prioritizing them whenever one of these Mutation-exclusive passives is what you specifically need.

How to Use Disposable Implants?

Once you obtain a Disposable Implant, take the Pal you want to modify to a Pal Surgery Table and select the corresponding Passive Skill.

The Disposable Implant must be available when performing the surgery, and using it consumes the item while permanently applying the selected passive to your Pal.

Since these implants can be difficult to replace, we recommend saving the rarer ones until you have decided which Pal will actually benefit from them.

Best Disposable Implants to Get

Remarkable Craftsmanship is one of our favorites for base Pals, providing a massive Work Speed increase without requiring you to breed the passive onto them.

Demon God and Diamond Body are excellent combat choices, while Swift and Eternal Engine can significantly improve Pals that you regularly use as mounts.

Mutation implants such as Immortality and Idiosyncratic are also worth keeping, especially since their passives would otherwise require obtaining the right Mutated Pal first.

World Tree passives can be extremely powerful as well, although several come with negative effects that should be considered before permanently adding them to your Pal.

Tips for Farming Disposable Implants

Collect Ancient Relics whenever you are exploring the World Tree, even if they are lower rarity, since you can eventually process everything at your Recycler.

Expeditions are one of our preferred ways to collect Ancient Relics, especially once you have enough strong Pals to consistently complete higher-level Expeditions.

Condensed Pals with upgraded stats can make your Expedition teams much stronger, allowing you to tackle harder assignments and bring back better rewards regularly.

If you are specifically hunting Mutation implants, prioritize Glistening Ancient Relics since the five Mutation Disposable Implants are tied to this highest relic tier.

Verdict

Disposable Implants make creating specialized Pals much easier, especially when the Passive Skill you want would otherwise require extensive breeding or lucky captures.

The Ancient Relic Recycler provides a repeatable way to obtain them, making Ancient Relics worth collecting whenever you spend time around the World Tree.

Save your rarer Disposable Implants for important builds, as applying the right passive can quickly turn an ordinary Pal into exactly what you need.
