When Palworld’s Tides of Terraria update was released, certain features were added to the game, and one of them is the Pal Surgery Table.
This structure becomes available after a bit of progression with your character and later allows you to alter your Pals in various ways.
With the ability to change their Passive Skills and even alter their gender through surgery, you can prepare your Pals for breeding thanks to this structure.
How To Unlock and Build Pal Surgery Table?
You may unlock the Pal Surgery Table once you have reached Level 36 with your character, and this can be found in the Technology Menu.
After reaching Level 36, you may unlock the Pal Surgery Table using 3 Technology Points and may craft this structure from the Pal section of your Build Menu.
Building the Pal Surgery Table will require the following materials:
- 30 Refined Ingot
- 20 High Quality Cloth
How To Use Pal Surgery Table?
The Pal Surgery Table has 2 options when you interact with it, which are to Implant Passive Skills (Transfer Passive) or to change their gender (Change Gender), and both have certain requirements.
To use the Pal Surgery Table to either change their Passive Skills or gender, you will need to interact with the structure, select a Pal from your Party, and choose one of the tabs.
1) Transfer Passive
Selecting the Transfer Passive tab will allow you to choose an implant from a list of ones that you have available, which will later be added to your Pal.
If your Pal has 4 Passive Skills already, you will be prompted to choose one that will be replaced, and to complete this procedure, this will cost you Gold.
There are only a limited number of Passive Skills that you can choose from, but there are a few more that can be unlocked later.
2) Change Gender
Choosing the option to change your Pal’s gender will allow you to change a Male to a Female or vice versa, which can be useful for breeding.
This will cost you 1 Pal Reverser for every time you change a Pal’s gender to the opposite, which will be permanent unless you change them back with the same process.
Pal Reversers can be purchased from a Vigilante Bounty Officer, such as the one that can be found in the Small Settlement and other locations.

The Pal Surgery Table can be useful when it comes to breeding, as there are multiple uses for you to prepare your Pals for starting a new generation.
Altering the Passive Skills of your Pals can be good for passing them to their offspring, while changing a Pals’ gender can be useful if you need to breed 2 Pals that don’t have mates.
There are several ways to farm Gold to prepare for implanting Passive Skills, while getting your hands on Pal Reversers may require you to get your hands on Successful Bounty Tokens.
