Lodi has information about a weapon that the DEO was working on in the past, and it seems that, for some reason, it has turned up on Kepler.
With Lodi and The Emeritus helping you out, the location of the weapon may be discovered, and this will result in you obtaining the Graviton Spike, an Exotic Hand Cannon.
With the information you are provided with, you may begin triangulating the location of the weapon’s pieces and later obtain the data required to create it.
How To Get Graviton Through The Ages Quest?
The “Graviton Through The Ages” Exotic Quest becomes available after you have completed The Edge of Fate main campaign.
This is the campaign that was introduced in Season: Reclamation, which became active when The Edge of Fate expansion was released.
Graviton Through The Ages Quest (Objectives)
Step 1: Speak to Lodi
Lodi has information about a mysterious lost weapon that has recently shown up, and you will need to speak to him to learn more about it. (Find him in Caldera)
After speaking to Lodi, you will receive the Rosetta III upgrade, which will allow you to progress with certain parts of the quest.
Step 2: Speak with The Emeritus in the Caldera
Lodi has directed you to The Emeritus, who will provide you with more information about the weapon that will allow you to start tracking down its parts.
Step 3: Triangulate the location of the weapon piece using the Rosetta device in the Outer Steppes
Now that you can access the Rosetta Devices that previously required an upgraded version of the ability, you can begin interacting with them.
This will allow you to triangulate the locations of the missing pieces needed to create the Graviton Spike later, but you need to find all of them.
Head to the Outer Steppes and follow the marker to reach the first Rosetta Device, which can be found behind a small structure.
Step 4: Find the lost Department of External Observations weapon piece within the search area
Now that the first piece has been located, make your way to the marked area to locate it, which will require you to head to a gap near a telescope.
If you check below, there will be an Exile Pylon that must be powered using Matterspark, and this will activate a device that will project you to a small passage.
Inside the small passage will be another Exile Pylon that you must activate with Matterspark, and this will unlock a door to a structure on the other side.
Enter the structure, and you may interact with the first weapon piece to obtain it.
Step 5: Speak with The Emeritus in the Caldera
After you have obtained the first weapon piece, make your way back to Caldera and speak with The Emeritus to get information about the next one.
Step 6: Triangulate the location of the weapon piece using the Rosetta Device in The Gorge
The location of another weapon piece has been revealed thanks to The Emeritus, and now you must make your way to The Gorge to find it.
Once you reach The Gorge, make your way to the marked area and to the side where you encounter a Rosetta Sentry, there will be a destroyed piece of structure.
On top of the structure will be a Rosetta Device, which you may interact with to reveal the location of the next weapon piece.
Step 7: Find the lost Department of External Observations weapon piece within the search area
The waypoint will lead you to a small tunnel (Use Matterspark to enter) that ends up with you coming face to face with a Cyclops Rampant, Conductor’s Chosen.
Just before you reach the exit that leads to this combatant, you will notice a gap to the side, and before you enter it, you will need to have Mattermorph active.
Use Mattermorph to move the wall that is blocking the small entrance that you can crawl through, and within the room, you will find the next weapon piece.
Step 8: Speak with Lodi in Caldera
Now that you have obtained another weapon piece, you will need clues on where to search for the next Rosetta Device, and this requires you to head back to Caldera.
Head back to Caldera and speak with Lodi, who will tell you where the next Rosetta Device may be found once you speak with him.
Step 9: Triangulate the location of the weapon piece using the Rosetta Device in Exile’s Accord
Your next destination will be Exile’s Accord, and a Rosetta Device will once again need to be found, which you can do by following the marker.
Once you reach the marked location, enter the room that has a Rosetta Sentry in it, and you will find the Rosetta Device there.
Step 10: Find the lost Department of External Observations weapon piece within the search area
Similar to what you did with the previous pieces, make your way to the area marked by a waypoint, and this will lead to a vent.
Grab a Relocator nearby and aim inside the vent to shoot the pad, which will activate a portal that will take you to the area where you may find the next weapon piece.
Step 11: Speak with the Emeritus in the Caldera
After you have obtained the weapon piece, head back to Caldera once more and speak with The Emeritus to start tracking down the final piece.
Step 12: Collect Data Fragments from defeated Vex
This time, things will be different as you will need to hunt down the Vex to obtain Vex Fragments, and there are plenty to defeat nearby. (Reach 100% Progress to continue)
Step 13: Find the lost Department of External Observations weapon piece within the search area
After collecting the Vex Data, you will need to proceed to the next location, which will be in the Aionian Campus, but things may be a bit tricky here.
The location of the last piece is easy to find, but getting inside requires that you get your hands on a Relocator, which can be found in one of the open areas that you pass by.
Head to the open area where there is a cage, and inside it will be the Relocator, but the only way to open it is with Mattermorph.
Within the same area, there will be a pipe standing upright, and if you check inside, you can find the device needed to activate Mattermorph.
Use Mattermorph on the highlighted objects, and this will open up a path to the cage where you can pick up the Relocator to use to open a portal to the last piece.
Step 14: Speak to Lodi
After obtaining the last piece, head back to Caldera and speak to Lodi, and he will remember a blueprint that is similar to it, and he will hint at where you can build it. (The Sieve)
Step 15: Assemble the weapon using the Sieve
The final quest step requires that you complete a run of The Sieve, which will result in the quest being completed once you finish it.
Keep in mind that The Sieve is only available at certain times, and this may require that you wait until it begins on Kepler.
Graviton Through The Ages Quest Rewards
At the start of the quest, you get your hands on Rosetta III, which allows you to interact with the more advanced terminals that you find around Kepler and understand the Aionian language.
Upon the completion of Graviton Through The Ages, you will be rewarded with an Exotic Hand Cannon called Graviton Spike.
Graviton Spike can swap between a fast-firing Arc mode and a slow-firing Stasis mode, which allows you to trigger certain effects of the opposing mode.
Verdict
Graviton Through The Ages can be quite a puzzle, and it will help if you remember how to use all of the Kepler Abilities that were introduced during The Edge Of Fate campaign.
Sometimes, following the marker will not pinpoint the exact location of the Rosetta Device or weapon piece, which may require you to look around more.
Graviton Spike is a useful weapon to have, thanks to the different effects it can cause, along with its high damage at medium range since it is a Hand Cannon.
