With the start of the Arms Week event, Guardians are gearing up with some new weapons to use, and upon speaking with Ada-1 it looks like some calibration can be done.
Ada-1 needs your help with calibrating Hand Cannons, and after visiting her at the Shooting Range, you get a free one to try out.
Regardless of which Hand Cannon you intend to use, the data that you provide Ada-1 with will prove to be useful in the future.
How To Get Initial Calibration Quest?
The “Initial Calibration” quest can be obtained from Ada-1 during the Arms Weak event, and you may claim it by speaking to her at the Shooting Range.
You may find the Shooting Range at the Tower, and upon selecting it, this will take you directly to the location where you may find her nearby.
Initial Calibration Quest Steps (Objectives)
Step 1: Speak to Ada in the Shooting Range
This first step of the quest is completed by accepting it, which also provides you with a free Phoneutria Fera (Legendary Hand Cannon) once claimed.
Step 2: Complete three rounds of Hand Cannon tuning with Ada-1
Ada has requested that you participate in some of her research trials that focus on the use of Hand Cannons, which are quests that you may claim from her.
You will need to complete the 3 Prototype Tuning quests that are available from her, which include the following:
- Prototype Tuning: Barrel
- Prototype Tuning: Magazine
- Prototype Tuning: Traits
Each Prototype Tuning quest requires that you complete a certain objective before returning to Ada-1 to claim your rewards.
Step 3: Return to the Shooting Range to report to Ada
After you have finished helping out with Ada-1’s research, it’s time to head back to the Shooting Range to report your progress.
Step 4: Hand over your Combat Telemetry in exchange for an Arms Week Engram
After the completion of the previous quests, you will have received Combat Telemetry as a reward for each one, and now it is time to use them.
While speaking to Ada-1, select the Arms Week Event Weapons Engram from her menu to exchange Combat Telemetry for it.
Step 5: Visit Ada-1 in the Shooting Range for a Volatile Weapon mod
Thanks to your research, Ada-1 will now present you with a reward, which is an Exotic Weapon Mod that you may equip in weapons obtained using Combat Telemetry.
Step 6: Equip the event Volatile Weapon mod to your Prototype Hand Cannon
After receiving your first Volatile Weapon Mod, open up your inventory and equip it onto one of your weapons to proceed with this quest.
Step 7: Visit Ada in the Shooting Range
Now that you have equipped the Volatile Weapon mod, speak to Ada-1 again to report in, and this will complete the quest.
Initial Calibration Quest Rewards
After you have spoken to Ada-1, the quest will be complete, but no rewards are given afterward since you already obtained them throughout the quest.
In total, you will have obtained 30 Combat Telemetry from each quest, as well as the Fragmentation Rounds weapon mod that you may now continue to use.
The Fragmentation Rounds (Exotic Weapon Mod) causes your Precision Final Blows to create multiple explosive submunitions.

The Fragmentation Rounds weapon mod that you obtained can be used with any weapons that you have that were acquired with the use of Combat Telemetry.
