Destiny 2 Shooting Range (How to Enter, Location & Features)

With the start of Arms Week, the Shooting Range has been added to Destiny 2, giving Guardians a place to hone their skills and test their builds.

This new location can be found at the Tower, and once you enter it, you have access to certain features that allow you to test out your weapons and abilities on targets.

With this added to Destiny 2, making builds has never been better, and now it is easier to test out the damage you can do and the effects of different subclasses.

How To Enter The Shooting Range?

You can easily enter the Shooting Range in The Last City by selecting it from the map, which will allow you to create a session with no matchmaking.

This will take you directly into the Shooting Range, where you can make use of the amenities within to test out your builds and speak with Ada-1.

How Does The Shooting Range Work?

Upon entering the Shooting Range, you will find a whole area full of Target Frames, which you can fire your weapons at or use abilities to test the amount of damage you deal.

There are panels on the left and right to alter the faction that you are going up against, as well as their behavior, which also allows you to reset your targets.

Head up to the range and fire at will, or jump into the area where the targets are and go crazy, whichever best suits what you are testing.

Shooting Range Features

1) Ada-1 (Vendor)

Ada-1 serves as the Vendor at the Shooting Range, providing you with guests and an overview of the Arms Week event.

Additionally, you may access Ada’s Workbench to use Arms Week Engrams and Combat Telemetry to obtain different kinds of weapons.

2) Panels and Consoles

The Faction Panel on the left allows you to choose which faction of enemies you want to have as targets, which can be controlled by shooting the buttons.

The Control Panel on the right allows you to reset the DPS and DMG counter displayed above, toggle whether enemies will attack you, as well as clear all enemies.

To reset the enemies and spawn them in again, you may interact with the console on the front right side of the range that is labeled “Run:// Combatant Wave”

You may also toggle whether the distance from targets will be displayed by interacting with the console located on the front left side.

3) Target Combatant Selection

Just before you reach the range, you can find multiple display pods with consoles that will display different enemies once you choose a faction.

Choosing a faction, as mentioned earlier, can be done with the Faction Panel, which allows you to choose the faction of your targets by shooting their symbol.

Once a faction has been chosen, interacting with the consoles near the holographic images of the enemies will change the targets into those types of combatants.

4) Prismatic Rift

A Prismatic Rift can be accessed in the Shooting Range, which will charge up the meter required to use Transcendence.

This will allow those who use the Transcendence a quick way to recharge so that they can test their builds using the Prismatic Subclass.

5) Rally Banner

No Shooting Range would be complete without a Rally Banner, and of course, you can interact with this to refill your ammunition.

This also charges up all of your abilities, including your super, just like any Rally Banner you would find in missions.

Verdict

It’s been said that the Shooting Range will stay in Destiny 2 even after the Arms Week event has passed, which is a decent addition to the game.

You can now test weapons and abilities against different enemies to figure out the best approaches and practice hitting their weak spots.

With all the features available at the Shooting Range, making your builds is now much easier, as you can test everything out without having to jump back and forth to find enemies.
